No one agrees with me but...I easily find Iron Wolf to be one of the best rollercoasters Ive ever ridden. Its not even that fast but it maintains its speed throughout its entire course. The loop has wonderful hangtime, it constantly twists and turns, its serves up some nice spots of air and it has such great attitude. I like the roughness it applies. I find it to be agressive and thrilling.
Topthrill Dragster is my favorite coaster but Iron wolf comes to a very very close second...theres just so much greatness I find in it that I guess others do not care to see. You just gotta know how to ride it.
& Deja Vus the next to go in my opinion. I hope not but....

I do... its still a rollercoaster and its fun! Think of it this way: If this ride would somehow be in your backyard, you'd think it'd be the best and you'll love it, but when it's in a park with bigger rides, you'd complain and complain (as they do now!)
i still love the ride, but its what other people think about it. in my opinion they'll get rid of iron wolf before they get rid of anything else. iron wolf may not be my favorite, but it hits 10 on my small list. i still like it better than whizzer, demon, rajun cajun,SSR, and batman(never really liked the ride). if they do replace it i hopes its another stand up.
Well... try batman front row.... its a better experience (but don't wait 2 hrs, like i did today!) Also the next ride that has a possiblitly of leaving (although it won't free up a lot of room) would be Giant Drop because the attendance levels dropped significantly, meaning that usually its no more than a two-cycle wait! But Iron Wolf would be the best candidate if they decide to tear down a coaster.
i dont think they'll take drop down, but you do have a point. i have tried batman front row, and i still never liked the ride, and never will. i still agree that ironwolf would be first to go, and the land there is big enough for another coaster, hope fully another stand up, but we shouldnt get are hopes up for a new ride for a while. new rides cost money. six flags st louis didnt have a new coaster since 2000 until THBS was unveiled. so i dont think were gonna need to worry about losing wolf for a while if thats the case.
Lots of times even less than 15 minutes!!!
Does anyone know if IW's current que line is the original? If it is, I thought it was strange how small it is. If they were building a new coaster, you'd think there would be a big que line. Look at Eagle's (old line), Demon, Bull, etc.
I imagine its got some time yet. as they've said a number of times here, new coasters cost money, and six flags isn't exactly rolling in cash right now. Probably much cheaper to keep IW running.
Still, I'll probably ride it a few times just in case, when I'm there next.
^Just minimal decorations, don't expect to see any coasters running completely different other than this. The flat rides are a different story, but just look into the fright fest threads on those...
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
