mtvU and Six Flags are bringing you music's hottest talent during our Summer Concert series. Headliners Plain White T's along with special guest Secondhand Serenade will rock the house at Six Flags Great America on Friday, August 17.
mtvU's Artists of the Year, Bamboo Shoots, will take their turn in the spotlight and open the show along with the winner of mtvU's Best Music on Campus Battle of the Bands competition.
The concert will be held in the Southwest Territory Amphitheatre. Admission wrist bands will be distributed starting at 10 a.m. at the Amphitheatre. Seating is limited.
5:00 pm Battle of the Bands winner - Love in October
5:30 pm Bamboo Shoots
6:30 pm Secondhand Serenade
7:30 pm Plain White T's

this is actually kind of funny for me to hear. I was talking to an aunt of mine the other day, and she told me that after her father just died, she found out the funeral that one of her second cousins is in this band, and she's going to go up to SFGAm to see them perform. I just thought it was funny.
