They own land over there, they had a variance or something with the city to start building a water park until 2003 I guess. They didn't, but I'm sure they could easily get it renewed. If you know what to look for, I'm sure somewhere in Gurnee town hall meeting archives you could find something about it. The rest of it is just what people think they should/could do, or what they want it used for.

If they were to build anything it should be a new territory with a water park next to it.

Yes, this topic has been discussed numerous times and it is a fact that SF owns property on the west side of the tollway. If some of you are itching to see this land, here are some directions for you.1. Leave the SFGAm exit and go left on Grand Ave.2. Cross over the tollway and make a left at the first traffic light(which is across from Gurnee Mills entrance.3. Take that road to Cemetery Rd. and make a right.4. Take Cemetery down to the last side street on the left before Washington St. and make a left.5. Take this road(dont remember the name) until you reach a huge plot of land.6. That is the real estate that SF owns.Galvin. It is a fact that SF proposed a waterpark/convention center/hotel/employee housing for this land about 4 years ago. To this day it hasn't materialized.

O.K. If it has materialized, what have they done so far?Going before the Gurnee board 4 years ago proposing a waterpark wouldn't qualify as materialized.
