Hey everyone. I was looking at themeparktimelines and noticed that it said there was a ride called the Hilltopper that opened with the park. I have not seen it mentioned anywhere else though. Could anybody tell me what this ride was exactly? Thanks.
Hay Baler was a Matterhorn ride. The cars were suspended, and the cars swung out as the ride sped up (I remember Hay Baler being really fast, the cars would go from sitting vertical to flying horizontal when the ride was at full speed). Hilltopper was most likely a Super Himalaya. The cars did not swing out, giving the riders plenty of lateral G's.
Also, Hay Baler was inside a barn-like building. Hilltopper was outside.
Yeah, Hilltopper appears to be a Reverchon or Mack Himilaya, there was one also at Santas Village. If you go to just about any carinval there will be a himiliaya, same sort of ride, though smaller, cheaper and more painful
Also the Music Express ride at Indiana Beach would be another example of this sort of ride, it's the ride that is right next to the falling star at the bottom of the ramp down from the suspension bridge.

I never rode Hay Baler I remember seeing it when I was little but never rode it. Why did they close it I know its been discussed alot but idk where that topic is any links or the reason why it was closed?

They removed Hay Bayler to make room for Deja-Vu. Haybaler was just to the right of the hotdog stand that sits next to Deja-Vu.
Skywhirl and Haybaler were both removed for DV.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I ran the ride when the park opened in 1976. I found a way to override the governor by putting the ride in forward and then reversing it and it would go forward full speed. We could do the same for reverse. Kathy W. was the lead. She had beautiful long blond hair. She was the most beautiful and fun girl at the park.
It was located under the chain for Turn of The Century.
i remember riding Industrial Revolution and thinking the ride really sucked compared to other rides of it's type. I also remember another ride like a Trabant. Anyone remember it?
