Nervousness/Anxiety

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

If anyone here has anxiety issues that flare up before going on rides at the park? If so, what us your best way to deal with it? Or anyone really, I just need advice. Hey, thanks a bunch. I've tried singing, laughing, relaxing, dancing, closing my eyes, talking, not talking, jumping, playing games, but nothing helps. Grr!
Eh.......I got nothing.

I only get it when I go to the park with a non-coaster enthusiast. I don't know what it is but when ever I go with my friend, I just don't feel safe sometimes. Yet when i go with enthusiasts, I just feel safer and have a better time. It may have to do with them knowing more then the average person. And that if there was a problem, we would be able to spot it. Yet with a non enthusiast, they don't even know anything about the ride.

And I always get it on V2. Even though Ive been on it probably at least 100+ times, the launch still gets me.

^ I totally agree. About the non coaster enthusiat thing and the V2 thing. But I actually like getting freaked out, so I like it better with a non enthusiast.

I used to all the time. I never knew why I got it at first, then I figured it out. You're over excited. Anxiety happens when you're all hyped up about something, whether it's good or bad. You're over excited to ride, causeing yourself to get all hyped up, which is what causes the anxiety. The only thing you can do is relax. Just calm down and you'll be fine.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

I used to get that up until 2003 when SUF opened. I don't really get it anymore usually. But when I look backwards at the top of the first drop on Bull, that is a little scary, especially the first time I did it... I got that from w00dland closing day a few years ago.

Sometimes I might get it on Vu. Especially on the first tower... haha.
