Ok so then why does SSA have riders?
The Reason Why SSA Has riders isnt really that hard to explain at all.1. One of the Only Rides that Has Air Conditioning2. For little Kids, The Ride is in the shape of a friggon Space Shuttle3. Becuase its an attraction that doesnt cost anything. Think of it this way, if it cost 5 dollars to ride that lame ride, It would be barren no one would be in there.4. It seems really cool to think your riding on "SPACE SHUTTLE AMERICA"while i totally disagree and feel it should be taken out i add this disclaimer below:(I understand this post completely goes aganist what i have already said and posted. However, to get a true debat going on a subject, you must look at all sides in a debate no matter what side you are for)

To comment on a few things...1. The heat problem and the no shade thing: Well...think about DW. The park with the most shade I believe is AK, and you know how hot it gets there...and they seem to do alrightPlus...you make your own desicion. If it's really that hot out, some people make wise desicions about what they want to do...maybe I could go watch a 1 hour show in AC than wait 1 hour for a ride in 90 degree weather. They also sell drinks to you in line and what not so if you become that desperate for a refreshment, you can buy one, and like someone said water is FREE!!!2. The whole thing about the paint job on attractions/buildings: Yes, many places are in desperate need of paint, but 3/4 of those places have needed paint for a good number of years. Simply put...they just don't have the $$$ in the budget. They do get around to painting things, but it just takes them a while to do. It's like a chain type of thing. Let's say for example, they recieved enough money to paint 5 attractions/buildings. By the time the next few years roll around, those buildings will need painting again, but most likely they wouldn't paint the same 5 things becuase there are other things in need of paint. Unless someone like Bill Gates decides to fork over a couple million, don't expect to see much improvement with the paint jobs.

I'd rather have everything I say make sense the first time around.

Great Points: SFGAmfreak4life I like the discussion we are having here, but unfortunately i have to disagree with you reguarding the Whizzer. Because i persoanlly dont see a coast fanatic like you or I actually ridding Whizzer, Think about this for a second, Youve just gotten off DejaVu or Batman or whatever, your pumped up the last thing id want to do is lose that "high" if you will by ridding Whizzer. Believe me when i say that. Because this year i Rode Superman front row, that ride was incredible but afterwards still on my "high" i was forced to go on Whizzer... talk about a buzzkiller.
Helloo??? Did you not take into consideration that not everyone is a coaster enthusiast!! That was extremely selfish and I don't think you take into consideration that coaster enthusiasts ARE NOT the only freaking ones who go to parks like ours! It's called CHILDREN and FAMILIES.

I dont expect people to agree with me, and if you read the Whole post instead of just what you want to read, i state that I resepct people's opinions and my own are just that, my own. I also said that i Resepct a persons view no matter how far away from mine it is.And another thing. Please Do not start arguing with me on this either, PM me if you feel that im in the wrong, because the last thing i want or need is one of my posts being locked because of a fight started on here.

Ummmm... Galvan? I do believe that if you have the right to say that "no coaster enthusiast would ever go on Whizzer" (which I also dispute, but that's another story) then sfgamfanatic778 has every right to counter your points with his assertation that "It's called CHILDREN and FAMILIES." You are being hypocritical when you tell him to respect your opinions, while disrespecting his!

T_Biggs wrote:And if Viper were to be painted, it would be probably the single most ugly paint job on any coaster ever (probably because we're used to be it being a natural color.) But really, from the highway, Eagle looks fine, and thats what matters most, make people not in the park want to get in the park.
I agree with your statement, but Viper was never attended to be painted because of the theme. Yes SWT was not built when Viper was, but the territory was coming. The natural wood color looks great for theme. I know Biggs understands this, but I make the comment for everyone else.My favorite coaster at night would have to be Eagle because of the lighting. It needs a new white wash in the worst way and you can really tell when it is dark and the floods are on it. If they just had a sponser come back and paint it it would look beautiful at night. I know its $$$$, but it is about keeping a classic fresh

i dont see whizzer leaving our park for a while because lately the lines have been way out of the entrance, and i see people of all ages standing in line.....and as for seeing no coaster enthusiasts waiting in line for whizzer, you can count me as 1, i wait in whizzers line! my friend is 15 and loves the whizzer (because she afraid of all the other rollercoasters) but she wanted to get right back in line after we got off, so we did and i had a great time that day riding whizzer about 5 times total, and there are a lot of people like her who will only ride the whizzer, so you take that out, you lose more guests. as for people getting sick from the heat, i havent seen that happen but thats why they sell drinks in the line, and if you know its hot out and the wait is long for somthing you should bring a cup of water or pop with you while your waitng in line, but misty fans would be great! i do agree that the go-karts and SSA need to go....or at least be moved to another area.....im not sure where they could move SSA, but they could move the go-karts to a part of the parking lot.....maybe even in that exta land around superman. by the way....i know a lot of you are going to disagree with me, but i thnk they should do somthing with the pictorium...not tear it down, but take out the imax and use it for somthing else or simply remodel the inside, like put in better seating and better films, lately they have been really dull.

Viper looks great in its current color scheme, Its themed to be from the old west and thats what it looks like, Viper also isnt as old as AM Eagle also so the fade from the Rough Illinois Weather has gotten to it yet. Also about the IMAX theater, they have go to do something with that place because it is filthy dirty. Popcorn,Cups, gum and garbage all over the place. Rather disgusting if you ask me.REMEMBER 9/11 VICTIMS 9/11/01"Terrorists can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot dent the steel of our resolve" President George W.
