I had a very bad experience on Batman last year...kinda like the blacking out thing! My head felt like it was gonna explode. That's why it'll take me some guts to ride it again. But other than that, I was never too nuts about the ride...but I won't dis it either.
Going with everyone blacking out... I've never blacked out on a ride before, but I did on one of the inversions on Mantis and going over the second hill of Millenium Force at Cedar Point when I went a few days ago. It was weird since it's never happened before.

Okay, explain this to me. Unconscious means you are in a sleep-like state but not sleeping because you can't just be "woken up". You have to come to and you can't just expect to "snap out of it real quickly". So, how in the world do people who "black out" on a ride not go to the hospital and thus skip the rest of their day? It almost sounds like people say. "Yeah, I went on a ride, blacked out, but other than that, it was a great ride. Then I went to..." OK, stop there because that makes no sense. You can't just shake it off and get on with your day. If so, you didn't black out. I think people who say they blacked out are just trying to scare ignorant and dumb people and little kids. I won't fall for it anymore.
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.
I believe what everyone really means by blacking out is experiencing a greyout.
From Wikipedia: A brownout, or grey-out, is a transient loss of vision characterised by a perceived dimming of light accompanied by a brown hue and a loss of peripheral vision. It is a precursor to fainting or a blackout and is caused by hypoxia, a loss of blood pressure or restriction of blood flow to the brain. It is commonly experienced when suddenly standing up, especially if sick, hungover, or suffering from low blood pressure or shock. Usually recovery is rapid and a brownout can be readily reversed by lying down.
^They are really different experiences. Raptor was fun, but Batman seemed way more intense than Raptor.
Raptor has big inversions that are more drawn out (like all newer B&Ms) while Batman's inversions make it feel like the train is about to fly right off the track. I really like Batman more.

I know exactly how you feel..
B:TR isnt that bad, seriously. You need to try something, more knotted and twistey! Like Poltergeist, Jokers Kix, or Flight of Fear. Those arent THAT bad, but compared to B:TR, YES.

No Im not that weak, I can handle alot, it just depends on how Im feeling. First time I rode Poltergiest I had a mild cold that day and it just screwed with me.
Raptor and Batman are both fantastic coasters. Batman seems like it never stops. Once you're done doing one thing, you're going right into another. Raptor, however, is somewhat extended. The first half is non-stop, like Batman. But the second half has some nice transitions in it and a great helix to finish the ride. Overall, I'd say I like Raptor better. But Batman is still really good.

Just moved to Chicago from Ohio, and I'm ready for SFGA!
I like B:TR better than Raptor. B:TR does not let up and pulls off some strong g's. Raptor still has some nice g's and speed but I donno it somewhat feels tamer. And also that part right before the final brake run really bashes your head even if you know it's coming.
Yeah, especially at the bottom of the first drop, Shockwave had a metric assload of welding done to it just about every day I visited the park, most days it didnt seem to open til noon or so, probably had something to do with the decision to remove it, while it was around I always wanted to see someone like say Morgan come in and smooth out some of the transitions.

i've never realy liked batman much. i've only been on to inverted coasters with sk lift style chairs that complete a full circuit and of the two, Montu is a lot better, longer, and has an excellent group of loops and corkscrews.
