Ending my employment at Great America

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby greatamerica2003 on April 26th, 2007, 9:58 am
After seven seasons, three of them as a full-time employee, I have chosen to end my employment with Six Flags. I will be starting a career in the railroad industry.

Most of you know that I was an employee, and some of you even knew who I was.

The park was very good to me, and I have much respect for it and the employees there.

Adios, Great America
YOU ARE A FAILURE AT LIFE!

It sounds like you had a great seven year. Three years as a full time. That's awsome! Have fun, and good luck in the railroad industry. Amtrak is awsome.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

As a send off could you send the Scenic Railway to Eau Claire and pick me up for opening day so I don't have to drive?

I would be the coolest dork (yay oxymoron) riding into the park on the scenic railway.

The trains from the Santa Clara park are for sale in Florida for around $400,000 if I remember correctly. That might be a better option.

Sorry, but your post makes little sense.

As a Full-Time Employee he was making around $15/hr.

The minimum wage rules in Illinois is $7.50/hr, which SFGAm does abide by. They can pay under that amount if you are under 18 or are on a 100 hour probationary period.

Ah I found the caveat in the state law....

Quoting directly from the law....

New employees (first 90 days of employment) and
employees under age 18 may be paid up to 50 cents
less per hour.

So if you worked less than 90 days, they can pay $7.00 still.

so they will stretch the low pay as long as they can

If you don't like it, find employment elsewhere.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
