Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Okay, after getting ripped on my hatred of Whizzer, I developed yet another Topic to have you guys and girls think about:WOOD VS STEEL (Sounds like a WWE Wrestling Event or something)But tell me what you think. Now i post this in the GA forum because i mainly mean which GA coasters but feel free to give your opinion on which is better.Personally, I like Wood better then Steel, Wooden Coasters Like AM Eagle and Viper give you a thrilling toss around ride that just cant be matched on any steel ride period. The Idea of getting tossed around your seat and such is to me the ultimate rush(No this is not the title of the IMAX movie)On the other Hand, Steel Coasters give you Loops and Steep very steep drops that allow for an over all better rush then a Woodie, but i still feel that Wood is better.Tell me what you think and remember feel free to criticize me all you wish, intelligent criticism ALWAYS excepted also feel free to email me and tell me what you think!Just please dont call me GALVIN! i hate that and its not my name GALVAN

I honestly think it's next to impossible (for me) to choose one or the other. They're two completely different rides, it's like night and day (well, maybe not that different, but you understand). Steel gives you a nice smooth ride (usually), with inversions and steep drops. But, wood on the other hand gives you an awesome ride with lots of airtime, head-chopping effects, and the fun of twisting through its own track and supports. So, I don't think I could choose one over the other. 8)

Steel for me... Personally, I think its unfair to compare. All of the new technology and work lately is mostly going to new steel coasters. Why do you think they don't give as much attention to woodies? I think because the GP basically favors steel over wood. But thats just my opinion 8) .

Yeah, most of the GP thinks steel coasters are for babies or something. I saw one person leave the line for Viper becuase it was wood and they said oh, thats probably boring lets go on the big steel coaster", I hate the GP.
