Shows what you know. Vu has had such an unreliable history that if you are at the park and it's running, GET IN LINE RIGHT AWAY! Seriously, it doesn't matter if it's a long wait. It's an awesome ride and besides, say you look at the line and go "Eh, the line is way too long. I'll ride it later." Okay, now say you go back later to ride it and you find out it broke down or was closed for some other reason. It never reopens the rest of the day and well, you are screwed, my foolish friend. Deja Vu is not OK. It's a riot!
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.
The last time I went to the park the sign out by the gates listed Vu as being not in operation so we started on the Superman side. Well about 15 minutes after opening it was running and by the time we made it over to Vu it was a full house and we didn't feel like waiting 3 hours. We ususally only ride it if we can hit it first at opening.
On fathers day, the line for Vu was only 1 hour with a breakdown. There were only 3 rows of overflow and the crews were pretty good. There were just dumb people pulling down the restraints when the Ops were like "DO NOT PULL DOWN YOUR GREEN HARNESS!"!
^Yeah, I hate it when people don't listen to the ops. It just makes us waste more time in line.
"There should be a B.O. squad that patrols the city like a "Smell Gestapo". To sniff 'em out, strip 'em down, and wash them with a big, soapy brush..."
"Why is nice bad? What kind of a sick society are we living in when nice is bad?"
Since I unfortunately didn't make it up there in '04, '05, or '06, the weather was icky when I went this year, and of course it was closed when I went in '01, '02, and '03, I still haven't ridden Vu. I'm hoping to make at least 1 return trip this summer, hopefully it will be open. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

In general, dispatch times (on all rides) would be much better if the general public would listen to instructions, read signs, AND excercise a little common sense. Sometimes I'm dumbfounded at what people try to take on the rides and then they act totally surprised when they're told they can't.
Any row is good on Vu, just go on a B row. When I rode it yesterday, the back was surprisingly smoother than row 3. It has definitely gotten much rougher over the past few years, but still is running great. It really doesn't matter where to sit, but if you have to chose, chose either the front (1A or 1B) or the back (8B).

Rougher over the past few years? I went on it last year AND the year before and it wasn't rough at all. I sat in the middle rows both time (B rows too) and it was smooth as a baby's butt. Wimp Vu haters!

Yes, it is a lot rougher this year than the past. And no, I am not a Vu hater, it is actually one of the better rides there, I would call myself anti-V2.

It was always different. Sometimes quick, sometimes really slow because of idiots not listening to the ops before. By the end of the day though, since one op was really enforcing the "leave your green harness in the air" load times were amazingly quick for the most part.

Than why didn't you say that the first time. This year instead of saying it's been rougher the past few years. Few is more than one, indicating that last year was one of the years it was rough. Great, why can't Vekoma and Arrow make coasters that DON'T get rough with age? I hate them so much!
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.
Arrow and Vekoma designed rides around the tracks centerline rather than the rider centerline which is why they were rough. Also most opened rough and stayed the same as they aged. Vekoma has improved alot in recent years and Arrow went out of business.

Vekoma really needs to clean up thier act with Deja Vu. Vekoma may be a professional company with good designers and great engineers, but Deja Vu is showing why most people prefer B&M or Intamin over Vekoma.
