Is Trailblazer really being taken down?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby ttd rox on June 14th, 2007, 4:07 pm
Is it going down because it was my favorite ride!!! I know Triple Play is still there. Trailblazer is not listed in Six Flags Great America's ride list for 2007. Is this true!!!!!! Or is it just a rumor? But then why wouldn't Six Flags list it. Maybe it is true!!! Please tell me the truth if any one can. Thnx if u can!

Ahhhh, its not a rumor. It is gone. Sorry to break the bad news to you, but I do have some good news for you, and that is Triple Play is still there.

And that is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

about 1/4 of Trailblazer is still there, though all sources say it will not return. Part of Triple Play was sent to Six Flags Over Texas to fill in for a damaged part on their new for 2006 Trioka while their part was fixed, now our parts are back.

So does anyone know WHY Trailblazer got taken out? :( It was cool. One of my favorite flats, if not THE favorite out of Southwest Territory. Oh well, I guess it's not too bad as long as ol' Ricky is still running. BTW, I'm new, so wassup?

King Chaos and Revolution are a lot of fun. Revvy is my favorite flat ride of all in the whole park and it sucked that last year when I went, it was closed for both days. But I don't get sick on them. I'm sure you could if you ate a lot before the ride, especially Chaos and Revvy. Here's a tip, don't do that! I don't get sick on Richochet ever. It's an awesome ride. By the way, Chaos used to be better. I think they made it a little less intense because people must have been getting sick on the ride. It used to have more flips and stuff when I first went on it a few years back.

Nobodies really sure, it could be one of the following

too much downtime
no attendance (or too little of it)
to much $$$ to run
just old and dysfunctional
want to expand the haunted house for FF and needed that room
putting a new ride in its place
TB is getting the same thing done as TP

Uh, yeah. I'm also still curious. Well, I suppose it wasn't getting enough people. I mean, most of the time when I went on it, it was a straight up walk on. I even remember getting to re-ride it on a few occasions. R.I.P.! :(

Trailblazer has a "design shortcoming", it's doubtful SF will pay to fix it.

It is still for sale for around $250,000.

It not in Shockwave's building, the only thing that remains of Shockwave is the station and lift chain. Trailblazer is still outside just in many pieces waiting for a buyer.

Isn't Shockwave scrapped and the tracks are disdfigured now. Almost like they got melted.

Those were very small pieces from the ride. The vast majority of the ride was melted down for other uses. The trains were sent to other parks for use as spare parts.

Only thing we kept was the lift chain as its the same chain as Demon.

I saw the skull at the opposite end of the ride from the wagon sitting down somewhere in the backlot.
