Columbia's roof is not painted at all. It's a copper sheeting that is oxidizing, and turning green. It's actually normal for it to turn green, as the oxidation prevents the copper from deteriorating. The Statue of Liberty is green for the same reason. You have to keep cleaning copper to maintain the shine.
If you find a picture of Columbia from 1976 or 1977 the roof is still shiny copper. It is possible to clean it, but its very involved and requires some harmful chemicals. I don't think its something the park has the $$$ for.
the roof on Columbia is most definately copper, however it takes many years to turn from copper color to green (like the statue of liberty) in between the 2 colors it does look rather crappy. Rest of the carousel building was repainted a few years ago.
Any have any pics of the Demon sign? sounds kick ass

Actually, they would never ever paint a coaster a brand new paint scheme. It would never happen. Way too much money, time, and pointlessness. Plus, the designers of the ride would get pretty pissed off.

Thats the stupidest thing i've read in a long time. Parks can re-paint their coasters whatever scheme they want, and they do it all the time. Batman used to be black, remember? (or Batman blue, please dont start that convo). The designers have no input and wouldnt care at all, its not their ride its the parks.
Okay, dont call me stupid. I made a mistake. I forgot about the BTR thing, sooooooorrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyy. But think, BTR is small, Raging Bull would be another story. Dont say that again, just correct me. I havent been into coaster that long, just correct me and i'll learn. Okay? Thank youl, have a nice day.
I would love to see V2 repainted and given a bat-theme to it. But then again I would love to see all yankee harbor get a gotham city theme. it would be really expensive but i think it would be a good idea.
Remember, there's nothing but air beneath the chair.
