Now I understand that dangling feet flying past a railing (the wooden one is the most obvious) at high speeds is quite dangerous, but if you observe the ride in motion, everyones feet are quite safely away from it
It has nothing to do with feet or catwalks. If you're over 76" tall theres a good chance if you reach up during the ride theres a good chance of hitting certain "switches" on the track (hence the bar in the middle of the restraint to and on the side of the otsr).
Wow, thats really interesting, thanks for the info. That sucks though, cause putting your hands that high on an inverted is rather hard with the harness the way it is...I definitely think they should change that...or at least let me ride if i promise not to stick my hands up.
Well,I got awesome news,Today Dejavu was testing!!I wrote down how many times I saw it and if they were good or bad(I'm such a geek).Between 9:25 am and 10:30 am there were 9 runs. The ones that were bad were because the catch cars did not catched the car;here are the times.
Good Runs:9:44,9:46,10:18,and 10:21 AM
Bad Runs:9:31,9:40,9:49.10:14,and 10:23 AM
Whizzer is the best roller coaster in MY WORLD!
Some people take roller coasters as rides, some as passions,I take them as life!
It ran over 50 cycles today.. 10 cycles were miscatches and a few misparks. State needs to come in and inspect it. Ops needs to run their cycles and train on it. As of right now it is looking good for it this weekend!
Thats exciting news. I'm going to the park tomorrow. Maybe if I'm lucky they will train crews that day and maybe even open it up towards the end of the day to the public.

Wow, the entire park is at 100% operational status? I wonder when was the last time where every ride in the park at least was open for at least part of the day. It seems like such a long time ago....
So, time to place your bets on what will go down next? V2? Deja Vu again? car 6 on Giant Drop (I think it's car 6), or is that still down?
I kid I kid. Let's hope all rides stay 100% operational (and by that I mean, at least operate for part of the day) for most of the season.
Deja Vu was testing most of the day today (Sunday) but was still occasionally miscatching. It didn't look like the catch car was in the wrong position, it just didn't latch a couple times that I saw.
I saw it miscatch from AE. The catchcar seemed to be moving faster than usual on some runs. I heard a rumor that it opened for a small period of time, but nobody confirmed it.
Aaarrgh! I was gonna tell all of you that Deja Vu was testing so she may open after all.
Three simple words: IT'S ABOUT TIME!
This is one of my faves and I haven't rode it at all last year. That ride had issues from the very beginning and then it operated smoothly in 2004 and 2005 and then problems erupted again last year. The ride sat closed most of the season.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

^ First of all, you should almost never trust Screamscape.
Second of all, this article was pretty much pointless, seeing as it basically just stated the obvious. Also, the weather hasn't been helping it be able to open lately...

Back to Dejavu, it has always had problems with misparks. I noticed a few misparks when I was there last week, but that's pretty normal.
Yes it did valley and there are obvious signs of it valleying on the track by looking at where they had to remove a piece of track.
Anyways, Vu also had a serious issue happen early this season, which is why it is taking so long. Now they are simply working out the kinks in the ride, like they have to every year.
