hey, I just got back froma park, lol I mean i was there only to see 2:30 Operation Spygirl. So there was like over 2,000 people Almost all seats were filled, besides sides. And since I was 5 minuted till 2:30 i had to sit on the side. The props are great. i love how they themed the entire spygirl. Before the show starts there is a guy i call "A-kuku-roug-roug- Akuewela" he was making a jungle sounds, he was entertaining. So the music starts. They have a great sound system, and the basses are really working, lol The benches were shaking lol...... and once the music started the play begun. I will not tell you what they do, but the show is 30 minutes, and spygirl has 24 minutes to safe the Gurnee LOL. like she said "What is going on in Gurnee, stays in Gurnee". LOL. Ok back to topic. the show is worth every minut of your time. But u must sit in the center, to see the "fight" effects better, they are more real. The costumes characters have are awesome, I mean WOW. And during the stunt show you will be like "yeah 24 made that" i wonder who is gonna guess why?. not because of the huge clock in the center with 24 minutes but........
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!
I might go saturday to see some of these new shows. I didn't get to see any when we were there on saturday because we had to leave at 2, and nothing besides Looney Tunes Tonight was showing at that time.
I was the first one in line for the 2:30 show today. I thought the show would be packed, but it wasn't. Overall, I was dissapointed. It wasn't what I thought it would be. The set was cool though.
It was Ok, for whAt they had to work with. And the count down is a promo if I ever heard one..24......24......24....LoL.
SpyGirl was actually hot too, if you get past the pink wig..LoL
Soooooo Bbaaaaaddd!!!
I just found my new Signature...So Good at being S.O.B.A.D!
I saw it yesterday. It was not that great. There is not alot of dialog and all they seem to do is acrobatic stunts. Jumping on the trampaline for a long time. When they fight using the bamboo poles it looks more like art than fighting The story line is also not that great.
There was no back drop or foliage to cover up the paneling in the back. DOes anyone know if they are going to do anything with that or is there just going to be a plain wall for the rest of the summer?
This stunt show is far from a stunt show. They have very little effects. When people punch or kick each other there is no sound effects added to make it look real. Also, there is no pyro in the whole entire show. All there is smoke and a Flame at the end. No one was even remotely wowed by the show. So I am not the only one. The story line is sketchy at best and does not really make any sense. Will this show be a hit? Most likely not. To give them a benefit of the doubt they are adding monitors outside the theater and they were testing them yesterday. It appears that there is some type of Pre show that will be shown on the monitors prior to letting people into the theater.
What Im thinkin they will do with the monitors is run a sort of "preshow" to set up the "action" in the theater. If you can call it action. Ive seen it once, I only need to see it once.
And amazingly, its just like the TV show, the same thing hour after hour.
24 is old and so is SpyGirl.
A show by the producers of a show like 24 with some action, a lil suspense and decent acting, Id expect more from than this.
I know SFGAm is a family place, but come on, kids see more violence in a 30 second movie trailer on TV than this.
And dont get me started on FF. THat is as lame as ever. Better be more creativity this year, but Im not counting on it.

I haven't seen it yet, but no pyro? That's what a stunt show is!
Sounds like the show is going to be a major let down.
Let's see...
-un-original storyline
-no pyro effects until the end of the show, and the pyro at the end was boring
-way too much un-necessary trampoline jumping
-bad pop-culture and Chicago-related jokes
-terrible fight scenes
-lame dialog
-no explosions (seriously, how can you have a stunt show with no explosions??)
-little crowd interaction. the Western one had the theatre full and stomping their feet and screaming. Spygirl had a caveman harassing the audience before the show.
Bottom Line- A stunt show that Six Flags made a bigger deal about than Pepsico with Crystal Pepsi. To be honest, the rocks exterior of the Southwest Amphitheater now look like giant mounds of cow shit since they were re-painted.
I give Operation SpyGirl a D-. Although it was a really lame and overrated show, at least Six Flags brought the thing that theatre was built for, a stunt show.
Anyone remember the Warner Bros. Western Stunt Show back in 1997? Now THAT was a stunt show...

Ummm...no you don't. Crystal Pepsi was not good at all. I remember it had this awful after taste to it.
Besides, I don't think you can get it anymore, as Pepsi quit making it.
the first version of Crystal Pepsi I thought was pretty good, then after a few months they added lemon and the whole thing started tasting like carbonated pine sol.
Also we need more details, video and photographs of this trampoline jumping (though it depends on who's jumping on it)

However, the Pepsi "Summer Mix" is really good!

Crystal Pepsi hasn't been made in over 10 years. Summer Mix is OK but it tastes like someone put Mountain Dew Lime Wire in my Pepsi, or a reincarnation of the 1990 Pepsi Tropical Chill. (hmm, maybe I should go dig up that old soda thread.)
Anyway, I do have some videos of the stunt show and I will post them sometime tonight.

I say good try on this one...Not great but certainly a step in the right direction. The pre-show consists of some old guy who's transmission to spygirl is interuppted by Max Condor, he laughs and that's about all I understood, the volume needs to go way up on those moniters...but i know SF is tinkering with all the TVs around the park right now, so i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt right now.
The set, I thought, was amazing. The best thing ever to come out of six flags design. As far as Tiki (The native) I thought he was great, he started sniffing my icee and the whole audiance laughed at him, i think he was the best part of the show.
So like I said, i was impressed with the effort, and it's definetly a step in teh right direction, but it needs some work, and some there are definetely plenty of kinks to be worked out. I really hope this returns next year with a big of a budget to make some major changes.
Just becasue I just thought of it, I really did like the fight scene on the bridge and the right side mountain with them all rappelling around each other, and falling off the bride, I honestly thought that part was pretty cool.
