waiting in line...

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Swimmerkev on March 25th, 2003, 10:04 pm
I come from a long line of geeks. So we pass the time by challenging each other with brainiac questions. In line for X we did algebra. Helped pass the time by saying X a lot. Simpsons trivia is as challenging to make questions for as it is to answer the questions. Works very well. Coaster trivia is also fun because my riding partners don't study coasters. Can't wait for coaster trivia in line for TTD.
Yes.

Play Count The "Motorola Razr", Count how many people you see with them, or how many times you see them pulled!

Seems like Everyone has one of those trendy things now a days so its always fun to count them

I stole w00dlands idea of shouting.."Hey Look! It's the Goodyear Blimp!"

Otherwise, we just judge their dispatch times...somehow, it keeps us awake.

Ok, I've got to be the consummate geek...I bring a book and read.

Granted, I'm usually in line by myself, might be a bit rude if you are with other people!

So I don't think anyone else is as goofy as this buuuut....
the best thing ever is to get a bop-it key chain, or just bring a full out bop-it, and play in line.

We used to play hackey sack in line too, but none of us are any good now and we'd just loose it.

Occasionally I'll juggle in line, that's pretty fun too.

Making fun of people is pretty much the best part about waiting in line tho, for sure.

Going sort of with this topic:

Have any of you had unpleasant experiences in line?

The only problems I've had are people who were smoking pot in the lines. That stuff smells so bad. The line jumpers suck too, especially the ones who are like "well my family is saving a spot for me up there, so I have to go up there." Well maybe they should have waited with their families.

I enjoy watching rides stack and timing how long it takes to dispatch.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Seemed to plenty of that going on today...What are they going to do when it actually gets busy?

Problems I have had are line cutters and smokers.

And we stay entertained in line just by talking, occasionally interacting with other people in line, and hand games.

I enjoy overhearing other people say stuff about the rides and the park. It's usually pretty funny since they have no idea what they're talking about.

People in line rarely know what they're talking about. It's definitely very amusing.

Bad experiences with pot smoking in line? Who would be that stupid?!

My worst line experiences usually have something to do with the rides breaking down, rain, or smelly people.
