5th B&M style to be SFGAm next coaster?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Yeah Ice Mountain Splash really aggravates me... Why don't they fix it? Does anybody know, or have any ideas as to why it is never open anymore. They need to take it down if they're not going to run it... it would make more room for that floorless, or whatever the next coaster is gonna be, because there would be a lot of room between Iron Wolf and Logger's Run, it could weave through that wooded area.**This is stretching it... but I think that they should buy that land across the street and use that for the parking lot, leave a little of the current parking lot for overflow or backup parking or whatever... and use the current parking lot around the Raging Bull, Viper, Go-Karts area, and extend the park way out that way... it would really be a good idea I think, but it would consume so much time, digging up the parking lot to make more park...I really hope we get a floorless though! A really cool custom designed floorless, at least 16 or 17 stories tall with 7 inversions to make our skyline a little taller... Superman doesn't help our sky line much because it's not that tall, but we definitely need something with a large quantity of loops to make up for ShockWave

I went on IMS this year. It is too much like LR, so I agree one or the other should be gone to make way for the new ride, I hope.

Nothing is wrong with Ice Mountain Splash. Once again its a staffing issue.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

oh alright, I didn't know it was a staffing issue, I just wish it was running. They need to get more ride op's then. These are my ideas, not rumors, but what I think should happen.2004-- install some cool new flats, besides they need another looping-type flat to replace Power Dive...2005-- 1. They could buy the land across the street and move the parking lot over there, then dig up the parking lot and extend the park way out there, but of course leave some parking lot there for overflow or backup parking or whatever, and they'd have a TON of room for several new coasters and like 2 or 3 new themed areas.2. They could relocate SSA and the go-karts to some other place in the park... and then they would have a huge amount of room for a floorless, they would have that fairly large amount of land behind the Pictorium and Whizzer, and near Viper... and they would also have all the room created from the re-location of SSA and the go-karts.3. They could tear out Ice Mountain Splash and then they would have a huge amount of land between Iron Wolf and Logger's Run, where the coaster, floorless or whatever it is could weave through that Wooded area.*As far as the new coaster goes I think they should get a custom-built floorless, 7 inversions, anywhere from 16-18 stories high, maybe launched... like I've stated many times beforeThese are just things that I think the park should do... not rumors or anything- what do you guys think of them?

Theres no way a floorless of that size can fit between Iron Wolf and Logger's Run. Its basically like trying to ift Shockwave there.2004: ONE new flat (they wont add 3 or 4). Probably a Delerium or Top Spin where Power Dive is, err was. Why is the que still there? hmmmm2005: New Coaster. Could be anything. I doubt the area between Viper and Whizzer and the Pictorium is gig enough for a Floorless around 150ft. tall, 3500 ft. long, WITHOUT removing the Winner's Circle, SSA, etc... the thing is that the Go- Karts do make money for the park. It could easily be moved somewhere. And even if they ONLY got rid of SSA and inner's Circle, they would be plenty of room.

yeah i guess it wouldn't really fit between iron wolf and logger's run... but i'm just saying it could like weave in and out of everything... like over the walkway, around wilderness theater, lots of tunnels and caverns... I know that it wouldnt fit in just that land between pictorium viper and whizzer, but I was saying, if they relocated the go-karts and ssa, they would have a perfect amount of room with the two free spaces combined, not that it has enough room already between viper pictorium and whizzer

That would be best for the park in my opinion. Space Shuttle America takes up at least 3 ops a day(grouper, at least 2 in the actual motion simulator) usually there is 4 or 5. Which are all wastes considering most of the kiddie rides have more people go through the turnstils each day. The Winners Circle can easily be moved so that wouldn't be a problem, then here we go smack anything in there.

Yeah I think it would be great if they just tore out SSA, and the go-karts, and then put in that custom floorless... it would be perfectand then the year after that (2006)... they could build another simulator type thing... but like a really really exciting, well-themed, high quality simulator like something you'd find at Universal Studios, to replace SSA, and then the Go-karts could be placed somewhere elseEventually though, we do need some kind of cutting-edge, record-breaking type roller coaster

Again, space is not an issue if SF is willing to flip the bill for a completely custom unique design. Anything, can be fit anywhere, by anyone, if they get paid enough.

Yea, the only problem is that they probably wont be willing to shell out the money for a custom design.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull

Yeah, well they should. They need a LONG coaster with a lot of loops, and really reliable. Superman is good but, from the chain release to the final brakes, it cant be more than like 45 seconds... that is an estimate, so do not attack me for being inaccurate. They need something original no more clones, and really really satisfying like how Raging Bull was. Once again, I'm thinking an 17 or 18 story floorless with 7 or 8 inversions, maybe just to have a record for tallest floorless or something, and a custom layout.
