I was in second grade and I haven't been to the park in a while. It was Raging Bulls opening year too. Everyone was running to Raging Bull and we went to Iron Wolf  . I got of and my legs were numb because all the blood flowed to them. We them rode Batman and I got off really dizzy. After that I was ready for Shockwave and Bull!!

So every visit I try to get a few good runs on it. And I wouldn't say it isn't "forgotten" because usually, it has a good 20-30 min line. Batman is the one that people forget about ;)

I, too, feel it's better at night. Still not the ride for me though.

I liked Z-Force (for all you kids- that's the coaster that stood on the spot where Iron Wolf is- it's now rusting away as Flashback at Magic Mountain) much better than IW. That ride was totally unique and fun! IW never impressed me, even when it was new.

Just ride Iron Wolf at night, and it's easily one of the most amazing coasters in the park.

It's good to see so many people still enjoying the ride.

You'll be lucky if they were to cram any other coaster in there. That spot's pretty much only for Iron Wolf or Z-Force if it returns (extremely unlikely), unless the park can cram an S&S Screamin Squirrel or something small like that in there.

Do you think that the park will get a new coaster sometime in the near future?

1. Theres no chance Z-Force will return.
2. Thats a bigger plot of land than you think.

Isn't Iron Wolf the only coaster in the park that uses tires somewhere in the ride?

Tires?

I'm almost sure every coaster has some sort of tires on it besides V2 and Vu.

Sprockets whole lift is tires, Eagle, Viper, Whizzer, and Demon use them to get in the station also (or at least to move them faster to prevent the ride from having a block set-up). The whole station and every brake at Cajun has booster tires to push it though the station/ speed the car up if it looses too much speed. Bull and BTR use feed wheels (which are very similar to regular tires) to push trains through the brake runs/station.
Booster tires are a large part of Revolution, Jester, and River Rockers operation also.

I've never blacked out on any of the rides. I hear a lot of people black out on Batman though.

I know it is rough, but last time I rode it, it seemed a lot rougher than normal.

yeah, I rode it once this year so far and I found it to be many times rougher than in the past, even as recently last year, it beat the hell out of me on my one ride, it was to the point where I'm not sure I'll ride it again this year, and generally I dont mind rough coasters.

^ I Hear ya. I rode it on the 30th of May, and it's not the same. I always try to get the first few rows, hoping that it'll be less ruff. But anywhere you get that head knocking. It really stinks. :(

Everyone is saying that the new restraints are bad and old ones were good what did the old restraints look like?

The ones that were recently replaced were of the same design as the current ones.

There were Intamin Stand-up restraints on the train when it opened (Wolf uses Intamin Trains) but they were replaced by B&M restraints in 2001.

Those were some sexy restraints. I wish they still had them.

If they ever decide to put B&M trains on Iron Wolf, I think the ride experience will be much better.

Iron Wolf has its good days and has its bad days. Half of the times i go on it, the head banging is bad but the other half of the time, its fine.

B&M trains aren't much better at all, it's just the fact that it's a stand-up that makes it hurt.

I've been on Mantis, and my head hit the restraint as much as it did on Iron Wolf.

EDIT: I like the tag thing for B&M, does it work for Intamin & Vekoma * Premier & HUSS?!?! I'll stop now.
