Does anyone know if the park is going to be closed this Saturday the 19th? A friend from work is going with his mom's company and he said today that his mom said that the park is closed and that it is only a private event. I thought the private events were mainly before the park opened to the public ( like late April )

sixflags.com shows the park open from 10am - 8pm. If it was closed it would show it close there.

^ The park will be open!!!

Most likely...that company just reserved a spot in picnic grove for their meal or whatever....that would be considered the "private" part I guess...

Anyone at anytime though, providing they had the big $$$, could call GAm and rent out the park any given day during the season, even if already open to publuc. Most don't have that kind of change just lying around though.

LOL, how much you think that'll cost? I will be doing this on July 4th.

Few years ago prices started at $10,000 for one small section of the park with the minimum amount of rides/staff needed. That was only for a morning ERT.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

They might be having a morning ERT, but the park is open to public as of today. So, take it as being open.

I imagine the cost would be outrageous to rent the park for a day. They probally make you pay how much money they would normally make in one day if not more.

This Saturday is Coasters for Cause and yes, they are having Morning ERT, from 9am to 10am in the Southwest Territory. I bet that’s what they are talking about. Also on This Friday night is the Special Olympics Private party that starts after the park closes.

In order to rent out the park (for a day) the park wont talk with you unless you can sell 10,000 tickets for the event. Dont know about before opening/after closing ERT, but im sure its still a substantial amount.
