Last I heard, the rock structure can no longer support the water necessary to run the waterfall. Fixing it would likely be very expensive.

That is true, add the fact that the waterfall corroded the track that was there before (it was replaced last offseason with new track) and they dont want to have to make all new track for it again, so theres pretty much no way the waterfalls ever going to get approved to run again.

Like OMG did anybody notice that weird bucket in the left eyeball of the rock structure before going into the corkscrew yesterday. Maybe thats a hint the waterfall is returning soon!

I'll give this post a 5/30.

^I don't know.

But, there have been a million topics on this particular thing.

We've concluded the following....
1. The fall did damage to the rock and track
2. track was replaced to keep waterfall going, but was too pricy to do again
3. The whole rock structure would need to be replaced to get it running again, that would cost macho money
4. There's most likely not even any water running through SWT anymore anyway!!!!!! NO water in Demon, River Rocker, or that pump thing in the center of SWT.

Sorry, but don't get your hopes up of ever seeing that thing running again. The best thing they can do that i can think of, is to put two ground foggers in there. One for the eyes and nose, and one for where the waterfall was. Then you would get that nice cascading effect every so often, and it would be extremely creepy.

I heard from the Lemon Chill dude that what they're doing is making a brand new contest (aka an upcharge attraction/expensive game) with the bucket in the eye of the rock structure. He told me that they’re going to call the contest the GRAND PRIZE GAME – XTREME CHALLENGE.

The way that contest works, as I currently understand it –

While waiting in line for the Demon, you will ask your friendly Demon ride-op (who may or may not be from South Africa ;-)) for a chance to compete in the GRAND PRIZE GAME – XTREME CHALLENGE. It will cost you $5 for one ping-pong ball, and hence, one chance to play!

Upon receiving your ping-pong ball, the object of the contest is, as you would anticipate it being, to successfully hold onto the ball until you get to Demon’s corkscrews. At the point in which you reach the drop into the corkscrews, you must heave your ball at the bucket, hoping for a perfect landing into the bottom of the bucket.

Potential Prizes for Competing -

Contestants who get to see their feat witnessed by security have the chance of winning either absolutely nothing, a dirty look, or, one of the grand prizes, a free, all expense paid trip to the outside of the park (aka, park ejection)!
(Odds of this occurring: 1 in 1,000,000,000,000)

Contestants whose ball ricochets off the bucket or rock structure and onto the body of another Demon rider have the chance of winning bodily harm from the irate (and potentially injured!) passenger who had just collided with your ball. (Odds of this occurring: 1 in 165.63)

Contestants who successfully throw their ball into the bucket will win the admiration of the masses, a weekly, reccurring segment on Great America’s podcast called “Ask the Coaster Nerd,” and an unlimited, lifetime supply of Papa John's Pizza (The OFFICIAL Pizza Supplier of Six Flags Theme Parks tm). Also, best of all, contestants get the satisfaction of knowing that their parents and friends are so just so damn proud of them.
(Odds of this occurring: 1 in 6.02x10^23)

Contest Rules

Purchase IS necessary. Contest may be entered an unlimited number of times. Contest is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., ages 7 or older. Contest lasts until Six Flags pays off its $2 billion debt. Contestants must be present to receive “prize.”

Participating contestants agree to these Official Rules. By participating in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and to not hold contest sponsors and participants such as Papa John's Pizza, Six Flags, Six Flags employees (including, but not limited to security, park operations, and Dippin Dots employees) for any bodily injury or financial injury that may occur by participating.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Wrong, Demon does not have a single South African on its crew.

There is a difference between the weekday crew and the actual crew. Most of the South Africans are actually lifeguards that are cross trained and are therefore not part of the actual crew.
