^Yes, and describe "older". As in teens, adults, seniors? Hell, the combination of the three doesnt compare to families! Still, gam has plenty for the older crowd.
"SFGAM TO SELL HARD LIQUOR THIS YEAR" there, happy?
I think that Great America is ruining yet another great ride. I am definitely pleased that at least the coaster is still there, but it sort of ruins the theming when they replace the tent with Wiggles World. They've already destroyed great rides like Tidalwave and Shockwave and it would be bad to see yet another ride fall due to the modernization of the park.
If you get the time and you oppose the Wiggles World, please go to
www.sixflags.com/greatamericaand click on Contact us and email them letting them know that you aren't happy. Obviously they can't destroy it, but we can let them know that we're not happy.
Sadly, it doesn't matter what WE think. Six Flags isn't targeting us anymore, they are going for families that spend mucho de niro at the park. Wiggles World will now replace the tent, despite the suckiness of that.
^ You know, you can complain all you want, but nothing is going to change. Corporate and the park have already spent the money on Wiggles World.
If you think that this addition is "destroying" the park, then stop going to the park. Wiggles World will attract a lot of families that will spend money. Chances are, you will spend very little when you visit the park. I'm pretty sure the park would rather have a disgruntled guest no longer come to the park, while thousands of family will be drawn to the park. On top of that, with the additional offerings this year, and the years to come, those "new" families will be inclined to return year after year; in return bringing in more capital for the park and the company.
What theming was ruined? The Tent is still there now there's actually rides underneath it versus unused queues, arcade games and a restaurant no one went to...Eagles entrance is getting moved, the old one was an arch with an eagle on it...not exactly Cinderella Castle. How Could you possibly be upset about wiggles? If you would rather that Six Flags went under and destroyed the park, well then go ahead and e-mail six flags, tell them to keep on spending money on things that don't replenish the money supply.
Also, The tent had nothing to do with American Eagle. It was built to house a chinese circus. Since the circus left the tent has been kind of a waste and really just dwarfed the Eagle entrance. I think the new Entrance will help eagle. Especilly if they redid the entire queue. The old one was really screwed up.

Wow. Just wow.
Tidal Wave/Batman, Shockwave/Superman, yeah they really destroyed awesome rides, and replaced them with crap, and I am going to e-mail them right now, and tell them that I am really ticked off that they are building Wiggles World for my kids to visit. Now I have spend more money in the park on crap. Thanks Six Flags.
I also want to know why they are not building mega coasters and thrill rides only.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
You know, at first I was totally against wiggles world. I couldn't think of having the tent be any other way. I mean every year I've been there, I've gone threw that familiar white tent with the amazing sign in the front. It was almost a reassuring thing, you always knew that behind the tent was an amazing ride. One problem though, in that time it took to get threw the queue line and to the ride, I really doubt any of us took any time to look around.
There was a lonely arcade to the left that always had some random person playing a game. On the other side there were switch backs that rarely got used. The ground always had a dirty look, even if it was just power washed due to age.
Now, they are turning that once dead space into a brand new living breathing thing. Instead of keeping a memory for us veterans who have rode American Eagle facing both ways, they are helping to create a new memory for our future generation of A.C.Er's. Those little kids will remember for years the first time they went to an amusement park and met the Wiggles. They will never forget how they swung "10000 feet off the ground!" They will remember how much joy they got and want to pass it on to their children too.
Eagle will be there for us, just as it has always been. Just as it will for the kids who play in front of Wiggles come May 5th 2007.
What's really funny, is that you think I'm from the GP (General Public). When indeed, I most likely know far more about the coaster, as I've rode it multiple times.
THAT sir, was an absolute brillant way of putting it.
I think it will work out pretty damn good. Mom can stay with the little one, while Dad (me), and daughter can jump on the Eagle for a quick ride.

Why wouldn't we be happy about Wiggles? There is some preety awsome flats in there. I am still puzzled as to why all of them have not been anounced yet, openeing day is 2 weeks away.

The line goes through the middle of the DDD Station which has been expanded. The exit is now on the left of the DDD Station. The lines then go up and around the DDD platform, so you'll be waiting next to people about to fly on DDD.
OK we cant complain since the park already added Wiggles world but what happens when Wiggles becomes cancelled? or if they are not as popular on tv. I highly doubt that the Wiggles characters would last forver. So do they plan on keeping the wiggles kids area even when they are not popular or cancelled?
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.

Well, we don't see bugs bunny or Daffy Duck on TV anymore, and that's still there.
^Yes, but on the contrary, thats what six flags is. Six Flags is all about the Looney Tunes. There whole chain is devoted to Cartonn Network, Boomerang, and DC comics. There are contracts involved. And, to disagree, they are still on TV.
