Hey everyone, i was wondering if any information has been released on the show schedule this year? Also, how are the shows at Great America...i heard there is a "Six Flags Party" show, the "TOONite" show and some show in "GMH" whatever that is...are they good...could you rate them? So if any of you could help me out that would be awesome! Thanks!
Check out the six flags website. It gives a description of all shows and events for the entire season.

Here's a List of the Shows I've heard about this year. I can't really rate them since they haven't opened to the public yet, and most won't until memorial day.
Spirit of America- Reflection Pond
Marvin the Martian In the Third Dimension- Pictorium
Show Stoppin'- Grand Music Hall
Country Rocks- SWT Midway
Serpent Safari- Mission Stage
Operation SpyGirl- AT&T SWT Amphitheatre
Great American Idol- Market Stage
Reflections: Sounds of the 80s- County Fair Midway Near the Train Station
Brunch with Bugs: Snowshoe Taphouse
Manny B. And the Rhythm Knights- Mardi Gras Stage
The TOONite Show- Theatre Royale
Celebrate the Joy: Afternoon Parade route from Fiddler's Fling to Hometown Park
Bugs Bunny's Starlight Spectacular- Nightime Parade Route from HTS to Mardi Gras.
I always liked the Toonite show last year, but they're redoing it. From what I've heard, Spygirl is really good. Sometime through the year I'll definetly want to see that one and Show Stoppin. Both sound cool.
Yah, the TOONite show is a lot of fun.. I've always enjoyed it as well! It's fun for the whole family... And on a side note... I really hope the guy that plays the floor manager is hott, because the kid that played it last year was adorable.. But I heard he's not coming back.
Wow...thanks guys...that was a lot of help...i also heard from people that there usually is a music review in GMH...how is that? Also, there is some carousel show...what is that about? Sorry...i'm just new at this...and want to visit the park knowing what to expect for the shows. Thanks!
The Music Revue is the GMH is new this year, and completly in-house, nobody's really sure what to expect yet, and the Carousel Show, just means it's at the carousel. That show is "Spirit of America" just a little thing with the looney tunes singing a couple songs to open the park in the morning. And once or twice an hour during the morning.
Wow is the parade really going to the fiddlers fling to hometown park? isnt that kinda long and uhhh do they have the room? Also where is the mission stage?
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.
No longer then the night parade. As far as room...Yes...I can imagine it may get cramped in some places though but that happens on the other route as well. Plus since it's off the old tracks, it means any floats will either be new and made to fit through tighter quarters then the other parade, or they'll just use cars or something.
And The Mission Stage in the corner of the mission next to chubby. They used it the first few years SWT was open, then covered it with scenery then unearthed it for FF 2006 where the Kareokee and Cockroach eating was.
So...can anyone that went to preview night let me know how the shows are going to be this year? I have been searching around the forums but cant find anything. I heard they previewed Wiggles and Spirit Of America, and was just wondering if they were any good. I really really want to know if its true that Spirit Of America is actually doing a show about the original sections of the park! So if anyone can respond that would be great...thanks guys!
they look like they're going to be really really good this year. The new carousel show " Spirit of America" is going to be cool. They did the whole thing at the kickoff party. It's a tour through all the different areas of the park, excluding HH. The wiggles show will be cute for kids, they performed a medley of songs at the kickoff. The Spygirl set pieces look cool. They're huge. I listened to the podcast update 3, and the music for showstoppin sounds good. You'll just have to wait and see what it's like I guess.
Spirit of America show was excellent, rather long, but still, it was made particularly for our park and is not a generic show shown at all parks, which gives it a better touch. The Wiggles show is going to rather...eh...umm.... I don't know, we saw some of it, and it was interesting.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
The Spirit of America show is actually a rehash of the old parade show from way back when. They used the same pre-show for many years until the 25th anniversary. Last year they brought back the song, and now this year all the original material that was, in-fact written for our park.
That is soooo awesome! That really makes me proud that there is a show in the park that really references what Great America was originally founded upon. AND not only that...Bugs Bunny is in his original uncle sam outfit! That just blows my mind...and makes me sooo excited! I also heard they have props for the show...like a ships wheel, for Yankee harbor, and some other things.
yes they do. They have a can can dress for the human performer, a lightning bolt, a wheel for steering the boat and various hats. I really think this show is a great idea, and cute.
Looney Tunes Tonight was also playing on preview night... They had the characters doing meet and greets outside the theatre before the show.. I saw the show and it was very enjoyable.. They did change some things up for this year.. The host or stage manager is new this year, and he is adorable!! Very enjoyable to watch.. The plants in the audience are the same this year which sucks, However, they do choose kids to go up on stage and dance with the characters during the end of the We Are Family number. And also there is a special "grand finale" effect that is used!! I won't ruin the surprise, so go see it!
i heard that loony Tunes Tonight was pretty good, however was hard to follow because it didn't have a plot( i think thats right). Ill have to go see it for myself and make that decision though.

Whoever said Looney Tunes Tonight was hard to follow obviously wasn't paying attention very hard.. Bugs Bunny is the host of his own talk show, and his cartoon buddies visit him as guests on the show.. I don't think that's very difficult.
