RB Yellow Train

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Spacely41 on August 14th, 2003, 12:41 pm
Has anybody been at the park when they've had the yellow train running? I've been there when it's really crowded and I have not seen it running this year yet. Does anyone know if there is something wrong with it, or if I just am never there when its running?

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

I wish they would run all three when I'm there sometime, the line always fills up at least one of the switchback buildings. However, I would imagine the crew would have a tough time making interval, the last time I was there, they had trouble making interval with two trains.

All three trains yesterday, as I said, but I'm sure that was because, for a Wednesday, the park was packed! RB had both switchback buildings FULL ALL DAY!!! I'd rather go when it's a little emptier and only have them run 2 trains.

Yea, I have always seen the yellow and red trains running if there were only 2 trains. I don't think I have ever seen the yellow train on the transfers. Its always teal there.

Last friday yellow was on the transfer, when I was there towards the end of july, it was on the transfer then also. Seems to be just coincidence (sp?) i guess.

Well, they probably just rotate then (or maybe it's just randomly chosen). Because in the morning yesterday, they were only running 2 trains, and the red train was the one in the shed.

Lately even on crowded days it has only been a 2 train operation for Bull, this is becasue that there are not enough workers anymore, as most of the seasonal employees are going back to school.

Why would that have anything to do with why they only run 2 trains?

To run 3 trains there has to be one more op then there has to be to run 2 trains.

Its some sort of saftey measure, it is like that on all rides that run 3 trains at SFGAm at least, but probally at every park.

When I rode RB on Tuesday morning, it was two train operation with the red and the teal train operating, and yellow was in the shed. Maybe each morning a different train sits on the transfer to get some maintenence work done to it :?:
Finally Coaster Season!!

Speaking of RB, the crew had 3 cowbells and a stuffed cow in the ride op station on Wednesday... correct me if I'm wrong, but that means they are a 3-time "Crew of the Week," right?

Back in June i went and they had all three trains running. All three times that i went on the Bull i had the yellow train. But the thing was was that there were not that many people there. All day they didn't have any of the switchbacks on SUF. The line for the Bull was about 30 min wait if that. It was a great day though!!
