Has anyone ever seen LAFF at SFSL? Looking at these pictures it doesnt look all that great http://sfstl.net/./joomla/index.php?opt ... 07663297f9. The constumes are pretty bad and from the pictures it looks like they dont have a couple characters(not inlcuding Zombina and Witchie's sister).
i don't know....the cast and set is a bit different, but maybe the quality of the show is okay. I heard that they had two vampira's at one point in time.....*squirms in chair*

So in the end, what did everyone think of the 2006 LAFF season? What did you like, what didn't you like? Any jokes you thought worked well or didn't work well....anything you might not have liked? Let's just sum this season up....i'll go first.....
I loved this season of LAFF, i really did. One thing that I really came to like was KC in the role of Jack. Last year i really didn't like him playing Jack, it wasn't anything personal, he just didn't really look like he fit the role all that well. This year he changed it, and he was really really funny.
There were a few things i didn't like. I really didn't care for Vampira this year...her voice during One Way or Another was just weird when she went up an octave on that song. I don't know, it just wasn't something i really cared for.
I really liked the jokes this year. The Myspace jokes were a hit....there's no doubt about that. One thing i don't know how many people really got was the Mean Girls joke. Most of the time, i never heard much of a response for that one (" There are no rules in this castle, I'm not a mean witch, i'm a cool witch, i'm gonna make you all a hump day treat"). The project runway jokes were an okay hit, i loved them since i love the show (One day you 're in and the next day you're out.....).
i just really liked this season....and the last show was really emotional....but it was good. Here's to a good season of LAFF, and to more seasons to come *holds up a mug of tea*
Ive seen LAFF the past ten years and this has been the best year. The whole cast was great and I hope they are all back next year. The show was so good that I fell in love with it all over again. The last show was a lot of fun and Im sad that its over. My dad recorded LAFF so that should hold me over until next year.
I loved the jokes and my favorite had to be the one about Dick Cheney. The casts response was great and the joke was the biggest hit. I didnt know the hump day thing was supposed to be a joke but I still find it funny. I dont think the joke fit because hump day is another name for wednesday and the shows are on the weekend. Also I dont think a lot of people that saw the show knew what hump day is and that it sounded inappropriate. I also didnt know that the "one day youre in and the next youre out" thing was supposed to be a joke but I thought it was funny. I also didnt know it was from project runway.
My favorite part of the show is when Frankie sings Mean Green Mother from Outer Space. I really liked the lines Frankie came up with. The best one was "I didnt invite you to my barbecue so get outta my grill." The other two I heard were "Why you drinkin my Kool Aid when you dont know what flavor it is" and "Someone call the White House cause I found the weapons of mass destruction."
The last show was awesome like always. The crowd was louder and more enthusiastic than the other last shows Ive been to. Ill just mention a few things I liked. I thought it was funny how the twins kept Frankie going when he sang Papa Can You Hear Me. I liked how the twins sang a couple extra lines from Sisters. I watched Jack break the set and it was hilarious. It was funny watching Katie later trying to figure out how which way to put her hands in the one ring.
My friends and I always give the cast a standing ovation and everyone else in the crowd did as well. In the past it seemed like only a handful stood up including my friends and I. Some of the cast members seemed surprised by the standing ovation and I know the cast appreciated it. They definetly deserved it and I cant wait until next year!
Chitown is right. LAFF is probably one of the best theme park shows I've seen (although School of Rock rivals it in my book) but when you are talking about live entertainment it doesn't even come close to other live shows. I think the reason it appeals to people is because they already know most of the music that is involved in the show and that it's cute. To me it just seems like a really good high school musical on a really high budget. Entertaining, but nothing that's goign to make the park famous.

I'll agree with nick its amazing but it is pretty much a really good high school musical with a big budget. Does anyone have the full list of all the songs that are used in LAFF?

I just saw this for the first time on Saturday! I thought it was pretty good, but after seeing many professional plays downtown including Wicked and Rent, i thought it was rather high schoolish. Not quite up to Disney standards, but still fantastic in terms of shows at Six Flags. Thanks to everyone who hyped this up enough to make me finally want to see this. I enjoyed it!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
We all know that this isnt a broadway musical but its a great theme park musical. If you try to compare it to something like wicked or rent then you cant appreciate it for what it is. Same thing can be said about roller coasters.
