We all know that the rumor was bunk and false beyond belief, but what if it were true?I think that Disney would not want to purchase the whole company, but rather pick out the properties it was interested in, Great America being one of them.Hmmm. "Disney's Great America"
It would suck! and im saying that caus i dont want everything being disney themed. batman the ride would be minni the ride and everthing will be swarming with kids and kiddie rides

I agree, with Tomo_kun what will they do to RB? Rename it something crappy like "Zerg's Fury" ? It sucks & I am AGAINST any renaming of my favorite coasters............ This thread should not if been posted!!!!!!!!! It will probley generate a lot of NEGATIVE thoughts!
Disney isn't stupid. They wouldn't do that. I don't know if I would want them to buy Six Flags though if they weren't going to continue to put in more roller coasters and thrill rides like Six Flags does now.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull

My thoughts exactly. Why bring up a blatently false rumor and ask how it would be if it were true? It would suck, everyone knows that, and rumors are discouraged here.
Hey, I'm asking a hypothetical question. As I stated in the beginning of the topic "We all know that the rumor was bunk and false beyond belief, but what if it were true?" The rumor turned out to be false, and I expressed that in the beginning.I simply asked a question, WHAT IF? Thats all.TwistedSteel666, you were talking about the negative comments that it will generate? Look at your own. Some of you need to mature a little bit and remember that there are OTHERS on this forum that would like to express ideas and comment on them. A few of us are over 18, maybe even married. If you were to censor someone like that in the workplace you would be fired for discrimination. Thanks Chitown. This isn't the first time you saved me. At least some of you out there want to have a decent conversation.Tomo_kun, I don't think that Disney would get stupid and re-name all the coasters. Disney theming? What kind of theming are you talking about? Are you talking about cartoon characters? Hmmm. Lets see. Some of the most popular attractions at the Disney theme parks have NOTHING to do with cartoon or movie based properties. Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Alien Encounter, Tower of Terror, the brand new Mission:Space at Epcot, the new planned Expedition: Everest coaster at Animal Kingdom. They have NO TIES to cartoons or movies. When they were created they were made so that the parks could offer more than just cartoons. And as for Disney theming, it's the best around. For that matter, so is the themeing at IOA.
Passes more expensive? Why? Its not like there are any other parks around here that have/would have the Disney name on them. They would probably sell the pass that gets you into one park only, and sell passes that would get you into any (if you were traveling to Florida or California etc..). I don't think they would tear any rides down, but I think they would beef up our shows/plays and make the park more enjoyable. I admit, when I was at WDW, I was much happier then when I am at GAm. Theming is better, atmosphere is better, staff is happier (generally), and you get better food. I wouldn't complain to see Disney's name on our park, it would bring general improvements, plus, no more paying for fast passes!
Just because Disney had an interest in purchasing Six Flags doesnt mean anything about Renaming the park, retheming the park or anything like that. Take for example: AOLTimeWarner, America Online and Warner Brothers. Do you see Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck everytime you watch CNN or Sign on to AOL? I dont think so. Think of it another way. Say Disney did purchase Six Flags, That would mean that a Fortune 500 company would be able to pump more into the park itself, Thus, giving us bigger and better Coasters and Thrills.People really have to start thinking about what they are saying on here. While i respect the views of the people on this forum sometimes there comments are really.....off the wall and usually filled with rumor and speculation.
i saddly use assholes online, i mean gay o hell, i mean AOL and i do see bugs bunny and im on the master account. same with roadrunner, but they runn off of the same network.
I don't think I would like it if Disney bought Great America. Sure it would have more theming, but I think Great America is already one of the more themed parks that Six Flags owns. Also, Six Flags Great America just sounds better.
At least we still have one arrow looper.RIP ShockWave (sitting there waiting for me to take it)
