Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I HIGHLY DOUBT that we will recieve another clone. Our last three new rides have been clones, and i think Wintrode is looking at something really special in the next couple years, i think we will get flats this winter, but if we do look for something really special in 2005

The 4D, the original rumor pointed to a patent for an alternate loading method of fliers. Beyond that, there has been no ground for a rumor of a 4D, other than word-of-mouth, which probably originates from that patent. As for the Sidewinder, if it's what I'm thinking, that was just someone's idea that they made a webpage on. The webpage wasn't even remotely related to B&M, either. If you really want me to, I could e-mail B&M and inquire about what types of coasters they are able to produce. I doubt anything like the sidewinder would be on the list. (And yes, I know how to find B&M's e-mail. It's not that hard to do if you know what to look for.)

yeah, i just want an original ride.....no more clones for a while. yeah, the ones we cloned were good rides, but thats not to say that having like a wicked twister built instead of a V2 wouldn't have been even better. it should be an intamin rocket, it shouldn't be strata, and it should invert.... 8)

I would love a Dive Machine, ONLY if it was taller and the drop was alot bigger. That would make it worth getting.
Eh, what's up?

How big do you want it? Both of them already have 180 foot drops. There is only one drop in the park bigger than that. The problem with Dive Machines arent the height, it's the length and cost of the trains.

We got room, we just dont know about it. They will probably tear up part of the parking lot. Just think how big it is. Look at the pic.http://aug80.tripod.com/august8/id1.html

"but no one is more at the top of their game than Intamin"Lets take a look at some of Intamin's newest rides: Wicked Twister, Dragster, Perilous Plunge, V2 and Xcelerator. All these rides were had many problems during thier first year of operation and some still have problems to this day. They are having major problems with reliability, so I would hardly say they are at the top of thier game. SFGAm wants something reliable and that is B&M, thats why parks like B&M's so much. They are the most reliable coasters out there. When was the last time you went to SFGAm and saw Raging Bull down the whole day? When was the last time you went to the park and saw V2 down the whole day?I personally have seen V2 down a whole day more often then I have seen Bull down a whole day. I can only remember 2 days Bull was down the whole day and the one was because of weather. After Deja Vu and V2 the park wanted something reliable and that would open on time so they built Superman and got what they wanted, a reliable ride. What they will build next though is anybodys guess.
Go Bulls!

All your going to get with a bigger drop is a few overbanked turns, because of the high Gs caused by the extra small trains. I wouldn't want a Dive Machine, because there limits were met when the 1st Dive Machine was built.

:x :x :xRumors Rumors Rumors...I hate to be a party pooper but, the idea of "I heard a rumor that such and such is going to happen" is like saying whats the weather going to be like on July 24th 2007? (Hot and Sunny with a chance of showers) Now rumors are cool for making an intelligent conversation,But, they really start wildfires on this forum. btw that Oblivion ride looks stupid

What? Train size changes G-Forces? I always thought gravity accelerates all masses at the same rate. If it does, then no matter the mass of trains, shouldn't Gs be the same? Or has gravity taken a turn for the worst and made all of my (the little bit I know) physics obsolete?

I watched this video of the first dispatch of Nemisis Inferno and I think it was Claude Mabillard who said "all of the coasters we made worked on the first dispatch." The host that was sitting nest to him said "I hope the trend keeps on going with this coaster." That proves how reliable that company is. They never had a problem with their new rides.

Well, I think Nemisis Inferno was recently broken down for a long time. I don't know if it still is though. That is the first report that I had heard of a B&M being down for an extended period of time.

It wasnt a major problem, a part of the lift hill that was a first of its kind, not put on any other coasters, broke and they didnt have the extra part. The only reason it was down for so long is because they had to wait for the part to be sent from switzerland.

Well if you look at it that way TTD had no major problems either. It was the first of its kind and it broke a part that had to be shipped in from switzerland as well. So I guess TTD is just as reliable, right? It was still a desingn flaw or the prolem wouln't have happened.

no that is tottaly diffrent, they had to filter the hydroic fuel, remove the wheels, remove the spoiler, and remove the engine and the parts they needed did not have to be shipped from switzlerand. Cedar point had the parts they just neede to wait for engineers from switzerland to come over

Well I'm glad that you seem to know exactly what happened. Do you work at CP? How do you know that they had the parts for the hydraulic motor?

do you go to any other coaster sites? did you read the ones on why dragster was down? Because if you did you would have noticed that people had pictures of parts sitting in the station all wraped up and on cp's website it stated that they were waiting for engineers from switzerland, and lets not debate this further in this topic, thats not what we are supposed to be discussing. if you have a problem p/m me.
