Oh well we are still planning a trip in May.
Damnit, now I can't go.
Tell your friend she needs to get some better communication skills, she kept giving me excuses too!

Yeah, my entourage and myself will be there. I hope it doesn't get rained out. I don't want to travel 5 hours just to see puddles. Actually, this will be my first trip to SFStL ever. So if you guys have any tips on what to do, what rides to defintely go on, and whatnot, I would love to hear it.
And it is official... Superman will not be open on opening day. According to the park website, it is due to open in May 2006. I suppose its better than saying "Spring 2006", right?
Oh and even though its in a different thread, what time do we want to have a Scooby showdown for those of us going?
I was thinking of meeting in the DC comics circle at an appointed time, but I figured we need to give everyone time enough to hit all the coasters first.
Any thoughts out there?

I have no clue what this Scooby thing is. It's frightening and new to me. So if someone would like to explain why I should do it, then maybe. Go ahead. Throw me your propaganda.
All Scooby Doo is, it is just a family shooting dark ride. It is like MIB at USF or the one at IB, which I forget the name of. You get a gun, that shoots lasers , and you shoot the targets, which in this one will be either green, yellow or red. After you hit targets, they will change colors and you score will go up. It is not frightening at all, but it is a blast of fun.

So, the way it is looking right now, I doubt I am going to be able to go to the park this weekend. I had all this set up. Then my one friend has to go to a Red Cross thing. Both of the other two who were going to go got called into work this weekend. And at the moment, it all hinges on this one other girl who wanted to go there with me. I should be getting a call from her in the next few minutes. So yeah. If she says she has to work, which she might, then I won't be able to go I don't think. Just because I think it might be kind of weird and boring to walk around a park I have never been to before by myself.
Its not wierd to go by yourself. I did that the first couple of times I went to SFGAM. Funny thing is you will more than likely find other enthusiasts willing to share a day or part of the day with you. Heck, thats how I've met a lot of the people from this board.

I know that when I go to a theme park with some friends, I'm gonna have a good time. When I am by myself, odds are I'm just gonna feel weird. It's a strange thing I do. I just feel weird getting on a rollercoaster by myself. Besides, I am STILL waiting for Theresa to call me back to let me know if she has off of work that day or not. I mean god. I was responsible enough to get the weekend off as soon as I heard about SFSTL opening this weekend, why couldn't the rest of them be, huh? God. At least some of us have our priorities straight.
your odds are zombie clown that if you do go, you'll most likely see all of us from this thread there. during some part of the day, we'll all be together, and rollercoasters and theme parks will be at the top of the talk. Don't be shy to come up and say " Hi, I'm Zombie Clown from SFGAmworld" if you are sure it's us. That's what i did to a few people, and now i hang out with some of them every time i go to theme parks like SFGAm or now SFStL. I can bet you that you'll see all of us at the front gates, that's almost obvious. I get the same feeling you do though. I'll admitt it, i get weirded out by going on a rollercoaster by myself, especially if there's a grouper, and they ask how many people, and you have to say 1. It's an odd feeling, but if you want to enjoy yourself, that might be the price you have to pay. Hopefully Theresa will end up going with you, then you can go and have fun with more than one person, but remember, don't be discouraged to say hi if you see us. I'll be the shortest girl who's not a child with the group of almost all guys.
Its not bad being there by yourself. On my family vacation last yr, I was at SFGAdv by myself for 3 days and SFNE for 1. I just got into conversations with alot of random people each day. ALOT of people now that I think of it, even had to educate them on some coasters.
And dont be shy to meet some of the people here, I have met alot of them and pretty much all of them are cool people.
Man...I'm so jealous! I wish I was going but I have work . Have fun y'all and hopefully "the group" (which I wasn't part of much last year) can all do something together this year.
And you should be cause it is going to be so much fun and you will miss out. Wow that 1 sentenve took like 5 minutes to type and this one too, terrible grammer, too early.
