Anyone been in Algebra 2?

I'm in Informal Geometry (or Topics in Geometry) now, and I was in Alg 1 last year. I had C's and D's cause it was difficult for me, and I'm not sure if I really tried my hardest. In Info Geo I've been getting over 95-100% and it is so easy. For my next year math class, I have 3 choices. Geometry (which I am not doing), Topics in Algebra 2, or Algebra 2. I'm not sure if I should take the higher or lower class. I really want to take Alg 2, but that's a huge step.

So is Algebra 2 really difficult?

I took alg 1 as a freshman, geometry as a sophmore and im taking alg 2 right now. I have gotten C's the past two years in math and right now Ive had a B in this class all year. Go for alg 2. Its VERY easy. I think you should go for it.

I really sucked in Alg 1 though, I dunno, I wasn't really motivated enough. Still am not but still... I'm taking my junior and senior years more seriously cause they're more important to me.

I always recommend taking the harder course.

If you are struggling do more homework than what is assigned until you can understand it.

Also, when it comes to college you will need the higher math skills, especially if you have to take any college level mathematics courses.

Advanced Algebra (a.k.a. Alegebra 2)/Trigonometry was my hardest high school course. Pre-calculus isn't as difficult, since it is a lot of what we covered last year in AAT. The trig. part is easy for me, I just hate the algebra. Geometry is so much easier!

At BHS, you can take Algebra 1 in Freshman year and Algebra 2 in Sophmore year, or you can take Algebra in Freshman year and then you can take Advanced Algebra in sophmore. I take Algebra.

Algebra 2's not that hard if you do the homework... I'd take it. If it doesn't work out, you can probably switch out of it.

I would recommend you do Algebra 2, especially if you hated Geometry. Most tend to like one or the other. If you liked Geometry, then you might not like it, but it is still pretty easy, i managed an A. Hey, if you need any help, PM me with the problem and i can try and help I am going to minor in Math.

Alright thanks, I know I'm not going to like it because I hated Algebra 1. But I need to be in a higher math class if I want to go to a 4 year college. Geometry is too easy, that's why I love it.
