Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Note: As discovered by John Revelle, thank you for pointing out my error, these videos are from 1998, pre Raging Bull, and not from 1999.
Here is alittle something to help us cope with the long off season.
The video quality is not the best, in fact, with all the tape went through, I am surprised that it held up this good for the last six years.
There are some obvious video editing errors in there, but hey, I am no Steven Spielberg.
Hope everybody enjoys it.

That was an Ok video...but it just shows how far we've come since then, and how much better we have gotten.

s'alright.....where'd you get Time Warp from? That's different than the movie....
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.

The magic of Windows Movie Maker.

There was, but that part of the tape was damaged by my then curious 2 year old daughter.

I updated the first post to include the complete, well almost complete, non music video. It is 20:16 long, and a majority of it is the train ride (the name escapes me as to what the fright fest name was).
Its interesting noticing the changes from that fright fest in 1999 to the one today. There were no strobe lights in the buildings then. How many changes can you make out?

-TP has lights on it (are those still on?)
-Raging Bull wasnt there (I thought it opened in 1999)

Ha. This got me thinking about how a certain park put on a certain freak show and then tried to consider itself a park for families. But that's a story for another day.

I like the second video...even though it can be blury, and not have music, it still shows the good things, like Shock Wave, and the old train show (which I like a whole lot better than the Scooby Doo one.)
R.I.P Shock Wave & Sky Whirl, you will be missed

Thank you for the nice comments folks.
Didn't that train show have something to do with a pigman or something?

You know, I think I might have screwed up the year. This video might be 1998 instead of 99. John Revelle is right, Raging Bull does go right behind GD, and at that angle in the video, it would be visible.
Man, now I feel like a dumba**.

^ Thanks
It does seem kind of bare behind Giant Drop without Raging Bull there. Also another change that I will point out is that the park no longer has the petting zoo in Southwest Territory during fright fest.

I noticed the old 'show' at the Hometown Square train station. As much as I hate Scooby Doo's Mystery Train, I'm glad the old show was replaced as it seemed to be not as interesting..
