I have been told by my supervisor, that the park isn’t going to repaint any other ride(s) until they are done repainting American Eagle. This year on American Eagle, they are repainting the airtime hills leading out to the helix and leading back to the station. The helix is going to take 2 years to repaint. So it’s going to be at least 2 more years before we see any other major ride get repainted (Superman,V2 assuming they don’t get removed before then).
So Eagle's repaint will be done by the ride's 40th anniversary (2021). Even if the job takes 5 seasons to complete, it'll be worth it. The difference between the painted and unpainted sections is striking.
Eagle needs a lot more than just a repaint. If they're not going to give it the Twisted Colossus style RMC treatment, they should at least have GCI or Intamin do the extensive retracking and layout improvement that GCI did for Ghostrider at Knotts and Legend at Holiday World. The Blue side has become boring and terribly rough and needs an improved return trip with better airtime hills.
Oh yeah, I agree. I was never denying that Eagle needs a lot more work than just a repaint. I was just saying that at the bare minimum the repaint is a nice touch for the ride.
Not sure if this was mentioned before... While driving by SFGAm yesterday (3/12) on Washington Street, I noticed some new signs the I thought were No trespassing, but as I slowed down a little it looks like they are putting up some "Drone No Fly Zone" signs along the chain link fence ever 3-4 sections.
Not sure if this was brought up before but according to someone I know that works in the rides department has shared that Bedrock Boulder Roller is no longer at the park.

It's off the website as well... another old Astroworld ride bites the dust.

Just got this one as well. Most of it is very open ended about favorite roller coasters. https://feedback.sixflags.com/advisoryp ... e2018&cid=%%cid%%&e%40&utm_source=surveyemails&utm_medium=email&utm_content=subscriber_id:&utm_campaign=2017-12%20New%20Ride%20Planning%20Survey%20wave%203

Yeah, that question threw me off a bit. Hopefully that's one of those things that stays in the "idea phase."
Also, I know that survey was probably chain wide, but with the removal of Bedrock Boulder Roller and that recent kids area survey, Camp Cartoon is beginning to look ready for a revamp come 2019, but of course we'll have to wait and see.
coasterfanatic wrote:From the rumblings that I hear, Camp Cartoon could be rethemed as early as this season.
Six Flags no longer has the licensing rights for Camp Cartoon/Flinstones, etc
Explains the SFFT Scooby Doo Retheme.
Name ideas: Spacely--- Marvin The Martian Space Rockets Scooby Doo--- Daffy Duck's Wilderness Bus Tours Yogi's Yahoo River--- Yosemite Sam Shore Patrol Flintstone Rocky Road Rescue--- ACME Car Company
I hope that rumor that was on Screamscape comes true. Merge the Kidzopolis rides and Camp Cartoon rides into one kids area. If they demolished the Wilderness theater and took out a very small portion of the picnic grove, they would have room for a massive kids section. That would open up alot of space infront of the American Eagle too.

As long as the Eagle Queue is shortened back to it's previous length

Agreed 100% I never liked the way the Eagle entrance was re-configured after Wiggles World was added. Eagle is a staple of our park, and it's entrance is now underwhelming and pushed off to the side. I would love to see that line shortened, and have a really nice entrance built! Possibly a Fountain, Red, White and Blue LED Lighting American Flags, Etc.

I bet they still have the Buzzy Bees or Jester's Wild Ride hanging around. But I think it would be more likely that the spot just sits empty until they do a revamp of the whole area.

I don't think Jesters would fit, But I'd be fine with it than Buzzy Bees

Happy survey taking!
Thank you for posting this survey!!! It asked me if I would spend $5 to ride my ideal ride, not $30 thankfully!

Found out that this rumor was 100% false, sorry for posting it. Advocate Day is supposedly April 14th though
