I'm not sure who wrote this article ( http://us995.radio.com/2018/02/13/six-f ... is-spring/ ) but they claim "The theme park’s 16th coaster will open for the 2018 season on Saturday, April 21." Of course this isnt true, I know.

There is a surprising amount of ground work that has to be done. From a technical standpoint, hangover is much much different from the carnival versions

Wish we had some sort of a construction update even though this is no Joker, Golitah or X-Flight..

Your update is in that linked video. A pile of dirt.
That's what the promo for Joker was, it was a 3D rendering of the ride and surrounding area. It costs money to pay people to make that.
It's a magical thing called marketing. Six Flags didn't seem to think that was necessary for a small addition like this, especially when they have footage of several clones already from other parks.

The rendering on SFGAm's social media sites shows the top half being orange/yellow while the bottom half would be purple, with green trains. Based on the descriptions and pictures it looks like they might stay true to that. Does anyone know where on the ride the orange pieces in the picture would go? Would those be on the bottom?
Im hoping the colors work well with the area. Do you have a pic of the “train”?
I’m oddly excited for this. We’re still getting additions. Many parks go years without a damn thing so we shouldn’t complain too much. & the name is so frickin great honestly.

I'm looking forward to this addition as well. I think the people who aren't excited are either a) still peeved about them calling it a coaster, or b) the fact that we're getting a larger version of a ride you can find at the Lake County Fair, which are both understandable concerns.
But if you set those aside, we're getting a new thrilling flat ride, something that we haven't gotten since 2004. It's going to help breathe some new life into a once dying area, and the name is unique which has really been unheard of from Six Flags in the past few years.
I'm not saying this is the greatest addition ever to Great America, don't get me wrong, and I would be lying if I said I haven't thought about those 2 concerns listed above, but it's like you said it is nice to consistently get new additions to the park that help make it more well-rounded and keep people returning.
I'm going to miss King Chaos! I just started riding it and I LOVED that point where it would hang you over the fountain. And like others on here I won't be adding this as a new coaster credit
Single Day Ride Count Record
50 rides 8/17/2018 (Without Flash Pass - Coasters After Dark)

There's a Heaven for rides like King Chaos and Jesters Wild Ride!.... It's Called Six Flags America, lol

Because no one really cares? I don't think SFGAm would bother going all-out on marketing a small addition like this. Honestly, I don't think any park in the chain has really posted updates when they got a super loop.
