If it was ANY other day, I would say it was Holiday in the Park. But (and I didn't realize this until somebody else mentioned it, so I'm not taking credit) February 13th is Mardi Gras. Combine that fact with the fact that we know other Six Flags have a Mardi Gras festival and I'm about 99% sure that's what it is (also, it would be a very weird and random time to be announcing Holiday in the Park.)

You make a good point. Maybe just maybe...the park will be opening earlier than April 21? End of March possible?
I think Holiday in the Park would be cool on the off chance there's a nice day in late November or December and I'd get to visit the Park one more time and go some rides and use my dining pass. The more Christmassy aspects don't really matter to me.
Keep in mind what was actually said in the video (well, what was reported to be said, but I assume somebody would have mentioned if this was wrong): “Starting off, we have a huge holiday announcement coming up on Tuesday, February 13th so you’ve got to stay tuned. It’s going to blow you away. It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be all kinds of news and we can’t wait to share it with you.” So at the very least it has something to do with a holiday. Timing wise, I'd be almost shocked it if wasn't a Mardi Gras thing. (And the new ride is IN Mardi Gras, so that would probably fit too)

I hope so! They've been silent. No recent construction pictures or anything! I wonder if they'll stick with that Hurricane name or if they decided on something different.
I can see it being Harley Quinn with Joker nearby but if they were creative, they’d go with a Mardi Gras/Nola themed name. I’m not expecting much out of this announcement.

THey have to market this dumb ride somehow.
I'd put my money on this. They're doing this on Mardi Gras for a reason, it doesn't make sense to just randomly announce other unrelated stuff just randomly in the middle of the off-season.
