I have never been to opening day, but I have heard that is usually not that crowded. As for the best time to go it would probaly be in May or June.

greatamerica2003 is right. On opening day it isnt all that crowded but it might be since S:UF is going to open.

Does anyone know about sunday? The last time I went on opening sunday was like 3 or 4 years ago. I remember it wasn't that crowded so I think things should be the same. Hopefully they are, and hopefully I can make it sunday.

my girlfriend is absolutely convinced that this going to be the most crowded day in great america history and lines for all the rides are going to be a billion trillion hours long (ok, im obvisouly exaggerating, but you get the idea). im sure that it will be busy, but i dont think its going to be hideous or anything. i think most lines will be slightly undertime just because of all the attention on s:uf...and i dont think superman will even be that bad. obviously youre gonna have at least a couple hour wait, but thats not too bad when you consider what youre about to ride (ive waited longer for raging bull, and im much more excited to ride ultimate flight than i was to ride the bull).in any event, im so very excited!!!

Honestly I don't think it will be that bad at all, they didn't even start advertising for Superman really until this past Monday. And in the commercial it says that its now open weekends...making it sound like opening day is past. Also most people it may take them a little more than a week to plan there trip out to SFGAm. Im expecting a crowd but nothing that big, maybe an hour or so for Superman Ultimate Flight...more if they don't run two trains.

I hope they run 2 trains considering its opening day. If not that would be a real let down.

I would think that there is a chance that they may only run 1 train. I dont know if they have done testing with both trains, (I assume the prob. have) but I would think they wouldnt want to chance anything on the 1st day. Im not an expert (normally I ask other opinions) but I would guess that only 1 train would be running. I am more dissapointed of the chance that V² may not be open on the 3rd. I love that ride, and it would take some of the crowd away from S:UF and other rides at the park.

Last weekend (Sunday 26th), they did six hours of testing with two trains. Supposedly everything ran fine and there were no errors.I believe that chances are very high that two trains will run on opening day.Cam.
