I don't know if it was a SFGAm commercial or a Jewel commerical(although Jewel was mentioned). It's not a regular Jewel commercial though..this was all about SF. It was the first time I saw it..right before The Simpsons at 5pm on Fox. Anyways, it was a "6 reasons to go to Six Flags" or something..and showed Superman. That's really the only commercial I've seen, other than the Jewel.
I saw the same commercial. It was pretty good, at least it showed rides from GAm (S:UF is an exception) It was just an advertisement for the season family pass for Jewel. It had good footage though.
I saw a SFGAm commercial at 3:40 today. It was about S:UF, how much you save when you buy a season pass, and all the thrills there are at the park. That was the first commercial i saw for the park this year and it wasnt all that bad either.
Yeah I saw the commercial before the Simpsons at 5 too, it had like a top 5 list of why to by a Season Pass this year. Seemed like it showed the same footage as last year besides the S:UF footage.
when is the 'special event.' I know that most news (mostly morning-ex. wgn) do a thing where a reporter rides the coaster. I dont know if it is on media day or on may 3rd. Last year they put a reporter on V2 on the 3rd. I gotta record some of these news clips.
Tuesday is Media Day..so whatever you might see on TV would be this coming Tuesday. And, I don't think anything would be on at 7pm, being sweeps/primetime. Most likely a report would be on the morning news(Fox, WGN are good at this kinda stuff) or the lunchtime/afternoon, perhaps the end clip of the 10pm news.
Our local news channel 7 (NBC) is going down to Great America on Media Day. At 6:00 am, they are going to do a report live. Then at 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm, they're airing their report.
I saw the post about a report airing on ch. 7(NBC). It confused me I guess b/c in Chicago, ch. 7 is ABC. But, I looked and checked the corey's from Wisconsin. Anyways, for those in the Chicago-viewing area, I'm sure some station will go to SFGAm for a report. If I find out or see anything, I'll relay information.
Actually it is channel 7 (if you have cable)... I wasn't talking about the station number... I know that the station number is NBC 26. I was talking about the actual channel number. And you're welcome for the info.
And not to sound bothersome... but could someone get this on to the internet somehow? This would be so spectacular to see any coverage on the new coaster, there is no way in heck I'll ever see it on tv. GAm fans don't just live in broadcasting range of the park.
That's what I was referring to earlier. You guys must be talking about some Wisconsin station, cable or not. I'm in the Chicago area, and ch. 7 is not NBC. Maybe this clears some stuff up for those who might be confused.
