My prediction: Justice League Location either the Dark Night replacement or Buccaneer Battle's replacement
I think with the success this ride will be dropped into several parks and we will be 1st in line to recieve it next year. I even think there was a hint in last years teaser videos where the entire section was messed up with older video showing over it. I guess we will see
I think Battle will be around for a while, it may not get the riders it should, but it's a really low maintenance ride, and it takes up space and at least looks nice doing it.
I bet if they do take it out, it reappears in the waterpark. Pretty easy ride to move except of course the pool. Either that or it get sent to a SF park without a waterpark where the ride makes a little more sense.

Is it too much to ask for the park serving the 3rd largest market in the country to finally get a real launch coaster?! Sorry V2, you're not cutting it...
---- THE LATEST INDUSTRY NEWS ---- (6/9/15) Rumored Parks For Two More Six Flags Justice League Dark Rides in 2016 (MORE...)
Six Flags - (6/9/15) After talking to a few people, I'm hearing that two more version of Justice League: Battle for Metropolis are being planned for the 2016 season. From the sound of things, the one solid lock for the first one seems to be for Six Flags Great America. I don't know the location of where it might go, though it was pointed out that the park could put the old IMAX / Pictorium building to use for it. The location of the second one is more up for debate it seems, with rumors pointing to both Six Flags Mexico as well as Six Flags over Georgia. If I had to guess myself, I'd lean towards Georgia myself, for many of the reason I posted yesterday in my thoughts on the issue as well.
Screamscape is about 99% right to be honest. So yeah just sayin....
My predictions as of 6/10/2015: 1. Justice League dark ride (Very Likely): Seeing the success of the rides at Over Texas and St. Louis, there is no doubt they are planning 2 more for 2016. Screamscape says that Great America along with Over Georgia are very likely to be the next 2 parks to receive them. I can see this replacing Pictorium.
2. S&S 4D Free Fly roller coaster (Likely): Seems like Batman at Fiesta Texas is a crowd pleaser, because Six Flags is interested in building another at one of their other parks for 2016. But I can't see this coming to Great America next year. I can see this coming within the next 5-10 years though.
3. Water park expansion (Unlikely): The last major water park expansion was in 2011, so that mean's 2016 will be 5 years since they added something to Hurricane Harbor. But I can't see Great America do this next year because they will not have the theme park side have 2 off years in a row. And plus I think Hurricane Harbor is big enough already.
I think they are used for more general purposes than most people think. It's more about what type of rides people are looking for moreso than specific individual rides. In the end they say, "Well people want more thrill rides, or more family rides, better shots, etc", not necessarily "well now we need to put a Free Fly into SFGAm"

Apparently, a Screamscape update from four days ago says that a new ride survey specially mentioned several questions about bringing Justice League: Battle for Metropolis to our park.

As I pointed out to Screamscape (and he ignored), you really shouldn't pay too much attention to that, because there are other surveys out there. I personally got a survey about an entirely different ride (I'll try to follow their request and not say exactly what it is, but it was a "roller coaster" that a few other Six Flags parks put in last year)...
I think we'll be getting that "coaster" that you are talking about ^ It'll fit in RCs spot and the old queue of RC will be able to hold the popularity of the new "coaster" because people won't be that interested in it because it's common at local fairs
I hope they don't demolish it., I love that Ferris Wheel! If Great america did buy it, it would need a height varriance, so we will know by the end of August. Only reason I bring this up, is because I saw a video that KossDude put up at Golaiths ground breaking where one of the park representatives said a Ferris Wheel was in discussion. If Six Flags wants a ferris wheel, and the one at Navy Pier is still in good working condition and can be purchased at a lower price than a brand new one, that is a perfect oppurtunity
^ Unless the Ferris Wheel were placed within 500ft of the park's property line, no variance would be required. Last December, Gurnee approved a comprehensive update to zoning. Included in that was changing the variance height to 200ft.
