The new facelift on the site looks nice. It's awesome! Pretty crazy seeing rolling thunder in the background of that picture. Anything else odd about the site?

Maybe my memories going but I remeber viper opening and I don't recall rolling thunder still being in the park when it did. Could somebody tell me when roolling thunder left.

I like the new rehaul, very cool.
It's not how high or how fast you build the roller coaster it's how smooth you build it!

It says it on this site. It closed September 4, 1995. That was the year Viper opened.

Rolling Thunder and Viper both operated at the same time, during the 1995 season. The entrances to both rides were right next to each other and the lines split after the bridge you now go under to go into Southwest Territory.

It's really weird, because that means that I have been to the park when Rolling Thunder was still there, but I don't remember a thing about it.

That's a shame because you could have had a ride on it then. Funny how we forget things about some parks when we were a bit younger.

I feel exactly like coastrcorey does. If it operated while Viper was their I know I must have seen it yet I have no memory of Rolling Thunder, to bad because I have herd it was the best of the removed coasters from great america.

Rolling Thunder the best of the removed coasters?NO,NO,NO,NO,NO.That honor would go to Tidal Wave.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Fortunatly we can go to Kentucky this year and ride Tidal Wave Viper Greased Lightning! And if any of you want to ride Rolling Bumper, you can go to New York, it's a The Great Escape now.

Yeah, why would anyone say a bobsled coaster is better than a launched coaster, I mean, Gosh!

Yeah that's nuts... I mean, I would've liked to have ridden it, but a launched coaster is better.
