I started doing FF on Sundays last season and I never really waited longer than 30 minutes for anything after 4pm. The "No Rules" to scare-actors I think drove a lot of families away in the afternoon. It was great.
Unless if they update the website soon, it seems like an awful FF. It's the same stuff as last year with less stuff to do, and some outdated info(i.e. ERC and GASR still on ride list). I really hope they do more than what they have on the site.
This is a little off topic but I just read on Screamscape and TPR that SFFT will not be charging for haunted house wristbands. That's right they are going to be free. I wondering if other parks will do this eventually.
I am sure that wont happen because would want you to spend money on it to make money. Is there any fright fest set up like lights for lightmosfear and I think they did not update the site yet because susan rosen is going to be there and they haven't listed it yet and usually they have a new house every year or scare area the one area they should bring back was when area 51 was in hometown square it had really good theming to it

If true, it seems like it could be counter productive because if things are free they're going to get much longer lines (and they'd probably cut back on how much they spent on them, and maybe it would even bring up the overall Fright Fest attendance which I think we would all agree would not be a good thing for us)

There is the other side of the coin if that the Haunted Houses are free then more people would come through the front gate, buy concessions and souvenirs and play the rigged... i mean not rigged games.
I can see Fiesta Texas being the pilot to see if free houses increases attendance/revenue or flat attendance/decreased revenue.
I'd love it if they put some real money into an insane haunted house experience. I'm looking for something that rivals Dungeon of Doom in terms of size and investment level. SFGAM has made some impressive investments recently, and I expect to see the same from FF.
Just a heads up everyone, looks like the park changed the hours for FF. The app says 11-11 Saturdays, Sundays are 11-9 but the Fright Fest website is still 11-midnight and 11-10, so idk which one is right.
They used to have an outside company JPM doing it. They had every area themed to the 9's there was fog everywhere you turned. You really couldn't see to well but thats what enhanced it. Rides seemed to have a touch better themeing at least decorations and everything was just done with much more care and consideration to how it was looking. Honestly when I decorate for Halloween inside my home (we have a problem with thieves taking out outdoor decorations) it is scarier and done more than some of the areas.

Those hours are only for the 2 weekends before Columbus day.
Why are they doing this I feel robbed and gypped out of the extra hour. How is that fair I know I won't be going later in the season for FF so I am trying to make the most of it and they are screwing me and anybody else going the first 2 weekends. Are they doing this because they are trying something stupid and are going to be open in November (beyond the 1st and 2nd)?

I'm certain they adjust the hours based on previous attendance. They're in the business of maximinzing their $$, so I can totally understand if it's 11:00 instead of midnight, OR allowing that extra hour to be used for ERT.
