What they should really do is leave ERC where it is and replace Orbit with the new HUSS Enterprise G2.
Is it just being announced by the ride ops? Surprised they haven't made an announcement on social media if this is true.
Yes the ride ops are mentioning it around the park.

I asked the op at orbit. They said it is indeed closing. However, they never said today, so I'll be hopeful.

I just got off Orbit and asked the operator if it was closing after today. She said yes.
Did anyone ask for an explanation? If they were at orientation, they know what is coming to the park in 2017.

I think this is twice now you've said this. Care to elaborate at all? Do YOU know what is coming in 2017? If any employee who was at orientation knows what's coming in 2017, how has it not leaked yet?
I feel like its an in park announcement that orbits going to leave, and if that's true, hopefully it'll be announced its closing like tmrw (teaser #1?) and have a week left

Would the plot of land that Jesters Wild Ride currently occupies be large enough for a super loop? I would love to see a flat ride package next year!

The guy who said it. As I'm sure you know, nothing is going to be "confirmed", no matter how good the source, until the park announces it in a few weeks. Until then it's all rumors.
if they move/remove Jesters and ERC, that'd be a prime location for a Free Fly themed after Joker, ala SFGAdv, which could have it's enterance directly next to Batman. Just a thought
