The park just announced Fright Fest details, and sure enough the show 'Wake the Dead' will be at the Snowshoe Saloon. I always love when dormant parts of the park are brought back to life. Now I'm hoping something will happen with the old Wilderness Theater next.

Daffy Duck Dance off? or some Looney Tunes show?
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

Given it will be the park's 50th anniversary, I think a Looney Tunes related show in the old Wilderness Theater would make a lot of sense for the 2026 season.
Maxx Force is being advertised as one of the available coasters for the coaster challenge event on Sep 27. Hopefully that means it’s up and running by then!

Also with Fast Lanes, does that mean there will be 3 lines/gates: regular line, fast line, fast line plus/premium ?
Nope. Just two; A standby queue and Fast Lance queue, just like it is now. Fast Lane Plus just includes the highest profile rides. But I think only CP and CW have Fast Lane Plus.
I can see our park only having one Fast Lane. If we were to get the "Plus" option, Maxx, Bull, Wrath, and Goliath would likely be the rides included in FLP. At CP, a regular Fast Lane is basically rendered useless, as the rides with the longest lines are only on FLP.

The big difference between Fast Lane and our Flash Pass setup would be that the 2 lines would be separate and distinct and not "merge" near station, correct?
Single Day Ride Count Record
50 rides 8/17/2018 (Without Flash Pass - Coasters After Dark)

I don’t think they will rework any queues for the change to Fast Lane

I think you're right, but I'm not sure how that's going to work out. Raging Bull's exit is going to be a constant mess if it stays the same. Also, I don't think Batman has a big enough line for Fast Lane currently. Giant Drop doesn't even really have a line for Fast Lane if it stays the same. I'll be interested to see what they do.
I don’t think any of the coasters need their flash pass lines reworked for fastlane. They’re all set up pretty well already. Viper is the only ride that really needs a reworked fastlane line. I’ve never liked the fact that you have to basically cut in line to get to it right now. Just use the old HH entrance as the flash pass entrance.
Bulls and Superman’s could also be fixed so you don’t have to walk through the exit but that’s all.

With the current state of the company, I much rather the park spend money on other things like more landscaping and stuff than reworking queues, especially with the uncertainty of a new CEO.

You've never been to a Cedar Fair park on a busy day have you?
Fast Lane operates a lot different from the current system. I was just at Cedar Point in mid July and event the Fast Lane lines were long enough to need switchbacks.
May not be an issue on less popular rides, but it definitely will on newer more popular ones currently using the exit.
In other news, company just sent out emails to Legacy Diamond VIP Members that we now get All Parks starting in 2026.

I got that too. I wonder what will happen to people like myself who pay for meal plans. Just SF Legacy or all parks?
It only specifically points out the skip the lines and some discounts (not all) so it's safe to assume meal plans will still be limited to your home park.
I have the meal plan for my park only, and I don't think the all park meal plans were even a thing back when I got my membership back in 2013 or 14. If you currently have the all park meal plan, then that's a big unknown.

Yea i guess we will find out. My meal plan is for all legacy sf parks 2meals and a snack. Would be crazy if it goes to legacy CF.

Yes I have. Cedar Point(2018) and Carowinds(2015) If we count October as a busy time then KI back in 2018 also. CP had the longest fastlane time waits. The other parks had almost no waits for Fastlane.

And our park is as busy as Cedar Point gets based on park size. My point still stands.
Without fast lane queues, rides like Raging Bull below 3 trains will be a problem.
The fast lane lines will have to be redone. Big difference is there will be a line for fast lane. I have see 15 min to sometimes 30 to 45 min wait at Ceder Point. They even have a separate wait time listed in the app just for fast lane. Issue with fast lane is there is no way to control the guest flow. So the popular rides will have lines.
^ We shall see but I wouldn’t be surprised if the park doesn’t make any changes to their flash pass lines when they switch to fastlane. As it is I think Demon and X-Flight have long enough flash pass lines already to handle fastlane. Wrath’s isn’t getting redone so soon. They can probably keep Goliath’s and Maxx force the way they are as both are already setup like a fastlane line.

I agree with you that Demon's Flash Pass line is fine, but on busy days when the switchbacks are full, the chain connecting the station to the end of the Flash Pass line comes undone, and the normal line just expands to take up the whole lane. People in the normal line unfortunately aren't kind enough to let them go through so the FP people end up stuck there. I understand that it's Demon, and its line is only decent on busy days, but a simple metal bar mended to the others would do the trick. Heck, why not just redo the whole switchback section now that I think about it. I wouldn't expect Wrath levels of queue width, but it's still an incredibly tight squeeze for the normal and FP lines at the end.

The all season fastlane plus all park pass basically states that both FL and FL+ will be available. It even days that a regular FL will be subbed in for days FL+ isn’t offered. As for your FL+ ride list I think it’s spot on. I think Skystriker will be a FL+ ride also.
