Well I just got back from SFGAm since they decided to close early today at 5:45p.m.I got to the park right as the National Anthem was playing and got to Superman first, it was empty. On the way to Superman though we were told it was going to be closed for awhile due to wind. Well awhile turned out to be all day. So right when it turned 10 and they didn't open Superman we headed elsewhere.Went to Batman first, got on the ride in about 10 minutes. Had a very great ride, it was running great like always.Went to V2 right afterwards, it broke down right before us and since there were no lines we decided to go around the park and head back there later. So we headed to Iron Wolf, got on in about 10 minutes again. Noticed V2 running again when we got off so went back that way but hit Spacleys on the way which had no line of course. Got back to V2 only to have it break down again right when we got there, it never opened again after that.So we continued our way around the park to find the Eagle closed, Demon closed, Deja Vu closed(of course still no train), Raging Bull closed, Viper closed, and Whizzer had just reopened so we got a ride on that. But it ended up closing for the day not long after. Iron Wolf then closed, so we were left with Flats, Batman and Spacleys the rest of the day since most the rides never even opened because of the high winds. We rode every flat except Hometown Fun Machine and Fiddlers Fling, we had a little Rue Le Dodge Marathon going and then rode Batman for the rest of the day until they announced the park was going to close at 5:45 at 5:45 due to weather. All and all a pretty crappy day, but it just goes to show how reliable Batman is. When all others can't operate Batman can.
Yeah I heard about that, I forgot to mention I went out of the Park only to find all the restaurants closed due to a power outage. I swear nothing was open in Gurnee today lol, no rides or restaurants.
I was on Batman when the power went out but it was only for a few seconds. But when I left the park everything else was out, resturants, traffic lights, etc.
I went to the park today too. I had to go to my grandmas for mothers day so when I left we headed straight to the park. I got there around 3:30. The only rides I got on were B:TR, Triple Play, Ricochet, River Rocker, Rue Le Dodge, and the Scenic Railway. Right after I got off the Scenic Railway I heard the announcement that they were closing at 5:45. It was raining the whole time and it was really windy. Today was one of the worst days I had at the park. Just so you know I am not complaining. cd316 while you were there did you see me I was wearing a orange hoody and blue jeans.
I told you you were a loser Dave, many times, and you did it again today... I don't think I need to say what you did, but only losers or people with small children do it (or small children.)
Spacleys rocks Travis, call me a loser all you want for riding it. That and Batman were the only things that ran all day, although I think it closed around 5.
No it was 5:45. I remember because when I got off the train it was 5:30 and I heard the announcement and it said the park was going to close in 15 minutes.
I was talking about Spacleys Sprocket Rockets, it closed around 5 I believe because we were talking with a supervisor as we were heading to Iron Wolf around there and he said nothing was open over there anymore. Batman closed at about 5:35, and the park itself closed at 5:45.
Yeah there was some work done on it, it was painted and had some framing up on top of the pillars. The Superman signs have also been added to the top of the station I noticed on my way out of the park. It should be finished or very very close to finished by next weekend.
