Six Flags Entertainment Corp. and real-estate developer Riverside Investment Group Co. are forming a partnership to build multiple Six Flags-branded theme parks in China over the next decade.
Six Flags Chief Executive Jim Reid-Anderson said such partnerships were a key part of the company's international expansion strategy.
Further terms of the partnership weren't provided.
Six Flags has 18 parks across the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
During April, Six Flags said it had formed a partnership to bring Six Flags-branded theme parks to Dubai, with the project expected to open in late 2017.
Six Flags, which exited bankruptcy-court protection in May 2010, was hurt by a heavy debt load and declining attendance during the recession. It's revenue has grown over the past few years as attendance and ticket sales have generally improved.
