I am hoping that Six Flags takes a page out of Disney World's book as far as sponsorships are concerned. Maybe instead of changing the names of the rides, they will just stick a "Sponsored By ___" sign up instead.
Examples: (from Epcot in WDW)
The Land: Sponsored by Nestle
Spaceship Earth: Sponsored by AT&T
You get the picture.
That wouldn't be too horribly bad. Sure, they will still be shoving the corporate names down our throats. But the outcome could be well worth it. I mean, the more money they bring in, even via sponsorships, the more they have to maintain the park, keep prices from soaring, to add more rides or refurb old ones, etc.
