I was looking at a postcard that was sent from Disney World, and I was thinking that it would be pretty cool if Six Flags put up mailboxes in the park themed to the area they are in (rural country mailbox in Hometown Square, barrel in Southwest Territory, etc.) and anything that is sent from them is postmarked with the addition of "Six Flags Great America" and the Six Flags logo. I could see this as an increase in postcard sales. Granted, while the percentage of visitors that are at Great America for vacation is probably less that 3%, it would still be a nice touch in my opinion.
USPS mailboxes. You can send a postcard from Guest Relations (buy your own postage) but many guests don't know about this. Plus, mailboxes just have that certain classic charm that makes an amusement park feel special.
That actually is a very inteligent idea. This would also encourage teens to buy a postcard and send it to friends. Kind of like a game, but it would increase profit. Smart thinking.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Great idea. Only problem is that only the USPS can postmark a card or letter. That would require the USPS to set up post offices every where SFGam wanted the special stamp. Not something likely to occur, but it is a good idea.
The ones from Disney have the park's logo (Epcot in my case) and then the regular postmark. I'm not quite sure what you mean by needing to set up postoffices everywhere Great America wanted the special stamp.
It's too bad people are too lazy to use trash receptacles (i.e. garbage can). And to those guests that think they are helping the park by creating jobs, then you're the one paying the higher ticket price!
