A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Mr. D.T. wrote:...not to mention most of the poor employees out there were volunteers and not real Six Flags employees. I wouldn't be surprised if they never wanted to come back here again!

You just contradicted yourself. They were making money for an organization. They were doing that because they wanted to. They would rather see the money go someplace else that needs it more. It's called charity. I am in a service organzation called Key Club. Besides looking good on college applications and for NHS, I enjoy helping other people, even if I am not making money off of it.

The Park Crowded we suggest you visit another day sign isn't that rare of a thing, I've seen it about 5 times or so. And to clear this all up that was not the most crowded day ever at Six Flags. I don't know exactly what year it was, it was between 1994-1996 but yeah me and my family went to the park at around 2 and the gates were closed and there was a sign on the gate that said Park Full please visit another day, and I am not joking about this it was a Sunday during one of those 3 years, I don't know if anyone else remembers that far back or went those days, but this really did happen.

I know that, twixmix. Do you think I not know about charities? I just sometimes call them fundraising 'employees' because they're both helping out the real employees and giving to a certain charity. I appreciate you involved in one too. I edited my last message.

October 15, despite its insanity, was not the busiest day in the park in history. I heard in 97 and 98 we used to get around 52,000 daily!

The park is getting hard on employees again, going around and firing people cause they think it is fun. I understand the reasons on some of them than others, but at least wait till closing day to fire everyone, that way they could have enough employees. That is my opinion, but that doesnt mean anything to Six Flags and their operations style, especially Great America having only the highest quality operations in the chain.

Well the people that quit they actually called them back...but if you look at the food and some games stands you will notice employees wearing blue outfits...those are boosters which are not necessarily employees just fundraisers. This one food unit had all boosters since all their employees left or got fired. This is way understaff and the supervisors were doing the "black tags" job since they were understaff ( they cant do that unless your really despereate like today )

I just came back from there and it was crowde. The haunted houses were not that good, to many line jumping, and not enough characters to go around ( sorry ). But I liked last years haunted house better and Fallen Giant was not all that good...didnt even bother to go inside Sleepy Hollow.

They don't fire people 'cause it's fun, but I've noticed that they do occasionally fire people for stupid reasons. Like, You were 1 minute late three times! Die Die DIE!!! They get uptight about that.

Stupid reason indeed! It's like one strike and you're out, or getting one 'F' on a test expels you from school in general. Some managers are caring and honest while others plain don't belong on the position. I agree they do get uptight, but not all of them do.

My response earlier was to Danhockey about the firing people for fun. To me, it's no fun.
