I remember a while back, though I cant find the post, I get the feeling it was in a post that didnt have cajun in the name, but I found the pic of the girls foot stuck in the floor, it's at...
Nope, but she had to have her toes pointed down. There's no way that could've happened if she had her feet flat.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!
Then it was her own fault she got hurt.
SFGAm shouldn't have taken down a classic ride. Re-locating it would of been better, but it shouldn't have been scrapped.
At least is you really want to ride it you can go down to St. Louis and ride theirs called Tom's Twister I think. I'm glad I went on CC alot growing up before that dumb girl wrecked it for everyone.

Are you people being serious? If so, YOURE SO RUDE.....SHE WAS 12 jeez! and john you said it was her own fault.....its a gravitron like ride, and she was a KID just probally havin fun being stuck to the wall like everyone else. alot of you have been on these rides and you know you put your feet along the wall with your legs bent.....I mean you cant move, its sucking you along a wall and you think that DUMB GIRL RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE on purpose...wow I really hope youre being SARCASTIC. Its a little ride thats gone because someone got seriously injured, its not safe to have around and you guys are angy.....?????
Like I said, it was her own damn fault and the ride didn't deserve to be trashed. Especially since it's a piece of amusment history as it came from Riverview.
It was an error in both the operators and the girl. The girl should have never had her foot like that and listened to the spiel. It can also be put somewhat on the operators for not checking the people before re-raising the floor, maybe they had to do that or not, but they should still do that for safety reasons, since safety is a big concern in SF operations, at least at SFGAm.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
The girl I don't think should be blamed, as this could have easily happened to anyone if the operator messes up. Im guessing that the operator raised the floor all the way before the ride had stopped spinning. I remember them doing that once when I rode it and the floor felt like it was smashing you, since you slide down a bit when they drop the floor.
Normally they used to raise the floor half way and then you would stop spinning and slide down a few inches to the floor. Then everybody would step inside the yellow circle and they would rise the floor all the way to the top. If it is done properly there is no reason the girls foot should have gotten jammed into the floor like that.
Chitown wrote:You sure about that? I thought Marriott purchased the ride new from Huss.
I was told that after Riverview closed, Six Flags bought the ROTOR from there. But then Marriott bought it and added it to the Gurnee park. Considering Santa Clara never got a Cajun Cliffhanger, it makes sense since Riverview was close to Gurnee. And Rotors are not made by HUSS. Chance and for a short time, Schwarzkopf made them.
Yep, it was the Rotor from Riverview. There was a sign by the exit door, on the fence saying that it was the Riverview Rotor.

Especially this quote. Come on Binks, do you have to say it so negativley and blunt like that Thats unbeleivably rude! Yeah, I bet you were alot "smarter" when you were 12 Just because you didnt get your foot stuck at that age doesnt mean anything. All of you think she did it on purpose and now your upset after its been gone for awhile, look at the pic closely if you have to...do you think she would put herself through that on purpose oh thats right....you guys think she was just a dumb girl....wow
