i like the whole Mr. Six thing. I love seeing him dance, and he makes me laugh....if he's a he at all. keep in mind that there are a lot of rumors on screamscape.
Mr. Six is the biggest thing to happen to Six Flags since they acquired Great America from Mariott's. Speaking in terms of the original Six Flags, not the take overs of Six Flags, but still, greatest thing to happen to the company since SFGAm addition to the chain.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
I think Mr Six has genrated the company some PR, but i dont know if he has accomplished the goal of increasing attendance/revenue.
But i do think it is good that SF has been running a themed PR campaign and he has gotten some of my family's money as my daughters have bought some Mr Six souvenirs.
^Actually last year, when Mr. Six came out, SF family attendance rose. I think this was at SFGAm. I know for a fact it rose this year...but not to get off subject...Mr. Six should stay, but then again its better to cancel him while he's at the top of his fifteen minutes of fame rather than being rejected by people.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.
i love Mr. Six, i even got the Six Flags Theme Song music on my phone, dun dun dun dun dun dun dun, dun dun dun dun dun dun dun, doo doo doo dooo dooo dooo doo, dooo dooo doo doo doo doo doo,
Mr. Six ad Campaign may have not increased attended, but did give brand awareness. When you see the old man you think “Six Flags” You hear the music you think “Six Flags” It just the same like when you see Mickey Mouse you think Disney World. Now that the brand awareness is set in, this year they used him to promote new rides and attractions. This is increasing Six Flags overall attendance this year.
They should make a whole Six family. Mr. Six would be the grampa, Mrs. Six would be the gramma and they'd have a grandson, Little Six. They'd go on roadtrips in their van and dance. They could have their own TV show!
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
If anyone buys GreatAmerica, I hope its either Cedar Fair or Tussauds group...both of these chains are excellent with rides and theming and they're potential buyers, but who knows whats going to happen. Cedar Fair sounds serious about only purchasing a few SF parks. I think if anyone theyll buy: SFMM, SFGAM, and SFGADV. these are the money makers and widley known, and if the chain really does go for sale I hope thats who they buy!
If you worked in the park, you wouldn't love mr. six as much as the guests do. All of the sections of the park have we like to party playing on their round of music (about every fifteen minutes). Mr. six himself is ok but the song gets on my nerves. Plus now we all have to wear mr. six pins and on sat. mornings some of the employees do a dance at the front of the park.
