I guess my most memorable moment was going on American Eagle for the first time this season on 4/30. It had been 6 months sice my last coaster and Eagle was certianly a good way to get going again. It was just so awesome.
Hmmm.... I'd say my first coaster ride ever, the Whizzer, or when I dragged my two friends on RB. Now that was funny! Gianna was like "HOLY *****" and Matt was like "OMG!!!" and Jimmy and I were like "SWEET!!!"
"And that farm girl walked off with slippers off a dead woman? She must have been raised in a barn!" ~Wicked, an excellent musical
Another good time was when i rode splashwater falls last year in front row, i think we broke the ride. I am about 200 pounds and i rode with 3 guys WELL over that and my little brother and at the bottom of the drop we made the largest splash i have ever seen on that ride. I felt our boat hit the bottom and immediatly after the splash, the ride broke down. The lift hill stopped and everything. It was so great and we got free fastlanes out of it. Good times!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
kahmooza, you're right about the train going over the lift, but remember the lift will automatically shut down (or in this case it sounds like it was manually stopped because your train started moving again) if your train doesn't get going again.
ragingbullchick, now how can you even compare the Whizzer to Raging Bull in terms of scariness?
^ ^ sounds like my summer this year with my group of friends who go up there, most of whom post either here or at another coaster site. we were all there every week, usually on a tuesday or sometimes a friday, but it made the summer amazing, and made me want it to last a lot longer than it actually did. I had fun this summer you guys, I hope you did too
mine was riding RB for the first time. we (me and my cousins) ran to it when the place opened and rode the first train of the day. it was all our first time on it. it was scary!! but we rode it several other times during the day. it is even still my fav to this day.
Life Happens..... Do What You Gotta Do!!!! US ARMY!! HOOAH!
Having the entire American Eagle Station break out in a Chester chant when the former evil mod of this site was riding the same ride and me and Dave's brother
-On River Rocker, we got an entire boat to chant "We love" when it swung one way, then "Six Flags!" when it swung the other. The ride op was pretty amused by it, so at the end of the ride, he said.. "So what's everyone's favorite park again?!" And I yelled "Cedar Point!"... it was pretty unexpected, and we found it funny.
-Last year, we saw James Brandon's magic show a few times... One of the times, one of my friends was sitting behind me and kept talking over my shoulder. Finally James Brandon pointed us out to the crowd and said that my friend was acting like a parrot talking over my shoulder. He also kept staring at us throughout the show with a very creepy look.
-Last year, we went to the hypnotist show with Susan Rosen and I got picked to go on stage. I drank a large Coke an hour before and started to feel its effect... For the first 10 minutes, the hypnotism was working and it was awesome. Then I felt like I had to piss, so I started concentrating on that... and I fell out of hypnosis. Except... she already pulled the people off stage, and there was a video camera in the back of the theatre (maybe for some sort of promotional tape), so I played along.
-One of us asking for a life-preserver on Roaring Rapids and have everyone in the station and the line and the bridge stare at us, like "What the heck is that guy doing with a life vest?!"
-One of us acting like a pirate and singing the Pirates of the Carribbean theme song on Logger's Run all throughout the ride as the other boats stare at us. Nothing harmful or that obnoxious, but still funny when you're in the moment.
^Well, the train isn't stuck....but technically you strapped in the ride with no where to go....are stuck.

You didn't work there the WHOLE summer, you got hired late, and you left in July. You left a few weeks before I did, and I left in August.

Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!
True twixmix, so true. It's just when I was about 3yrs old, (like 1992) I had my first first ride on Whizzer. That was very scary to me at the time. In '99 when Bull first opened, I was 9 yrs old, and I just made the height requirement. Unfortunatley, Matt didn't make the height requirement yet, but Jimmy and Gianna did. So my mom got all of us in line. We waited about 2 hrs. Then we got 4th row. Of course, as soon as we're about to get on, Gianna freaks out and starts crying , and screaming "I don't wanna go!" So Matt was really happy , because he wasn't the only one not riding. My mom, being safe because these weren't her kids, stayed in the exit with them. That left Jimmy and I. I told him "You're NOT gonna get off now!" And then the ride attendant pulled his lapbar down. He was just like "You're right, now I'm not getting off." At the top of the hill, Jimmy told me "Alissa, I HATE you!!!" I was ust as scared as he was. But as soon as we dropped, I already knew it would be the best ride ever!!! We both LOVED it, but the line was too long to wait in again. About 3 yrs later, we were at the park with the same group again, except my mom. That's when I dragged Gianna and Matt on it. So in other words, Whizzer is scary for a 3 yr old, and Bull is scary for a 9 yr old.

Demon:1

Whizzer:5
Iron Wolf:1/4 (I thought about going on it)
River Rocker:To many times to count
I guess a memorable moment would be getting stuck at the top of Iron Wolf for about 10 minutes. The best part was that I was by myself and so was another kid next to me (he actually happened to be here on vacation and his family was waiting at the exit) and another two kids that were friends. We were all in the front row and the only people on the train. For me and the other single rider, this was about at least our tenth ride in a row, I lost track around 8 . It was pretty cool telling them about how it is normal for it to stop where it did and that the brakes work in a block system, etc. They were pretty interested which was cool. Last year in May I got stuck on Demon's block brakes for about 10 minutes. Besides those times I really haven't been stuck on any rides in a while. Three times on DejaVu I was the train after the one that got stuck...ugh!
Most memorable malfunction on a ride would be when Superman stalled half way out of the station while I was in the back row. They couldn't lower the cars in the station so I was stuck in the "flying" position forever (35 minutes) While we were waiting the people next to us were screaming the theme song and "flying" (this was in 2003 when thats ALL they played). Anyway I was the final person evacuated off the train after 35 minutes and immediatly fell over after exiting the train. It sucked.
I've also gotten stuck on:
V2 numerous times
Demon
AEB
Raging Bull lift for like 5 minutes
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2 Coaster Count: 444
King Chaos - 15 minutes, beginning of ride, way up high
Revolution - 7 minutes, ride failed to start correctly
Deja Vu - 15 minutes... retraction (Went up 2nd tower but came back down slowly)
Yes, I was excited when Deja Vu got stuck, it was weird too because I was sort of expecting it.
Mine was when I was 10 I think and I rode my first looping coaster that day. And leaving the park that night, I was the happiest kid on earth. Thats when I became close to obsessed with rollercoasters.
