Most Memoriable Moment at SFGAm

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

What is your most memorable moment at SFGAm?

Mine is riding a rollercoaster for the first time. It was 1997 and I really didn't know what was going on. My mom took me on the Whizzer on a night ride, I instantly loved rollercoasters!

Going on BTR for the first time, and also riding Shockwave for the first time. My first ride on BTR, I cried and screamed my lungs out... haha because I was SO scared of coasters, and it was my first big one. Then after that I fell in love with them, though still scared to ride them. Shockwave, well, it was the best coaster I've ever ridden... and it erased my fears of going on Iron Wolf also.

RB it was freaky going up the drop.

I like that one. Screams make me giggle.

Going on Rolling Thunder when I was smaller, walking through the vine tunnel and playing in the old Looney Tunes Park, which was a load of fun.

Mine would be the first time on Raging Bull back row. Best time i have ever had on that ride. A close second would be getting a concusion on Shockwave. Not joking, went to the doctor the next day.

Mine was funny as hell. Last year during FF, Chelsea, (my GF daughter) had the hell scared out of her. We were going thru the MOT and she lost her shoe running from one of the last rooms. When we came out the exit, sge got chased with her shoe, and yelling she lost her shoe. I went back to get it, the shoe being handed to me by LeatherFace. Right after that, NecropolisGD, started chasing her with his shovel. My Gf was yelling for Chelsea to come back and up comes one of the Zombie twins right behind us and asked which girl Chelsea was. We pointed her out to him and he too took off after her, yelling her name, and then the other twin zombie took off after her too. It was a great priceless moment.

I wouldn't say that this is a good memorable moment... but during Fright Fest last year my shirt flew up on Giant Drop. I ran like a crazy person off that ride and out of sight...

I have so many memorable moments from SFGAm... Another one was when I flew off my innertube when on one of the tube slides for the first time. My friend didn't know where the heck I went and ended up sliding to the front of the innertube in my spot. I was stuck under the innertube for a few seconds... Good times.

Mine was Fright Fest 2000. Me and two girlfriends of mine went and that was when I had my hair dyed black with red and purple highlights. I think my hair was a hit with some of the charecters  That was back when it was Sadies haunted house and all the way through the house this charecter was following me asking for my name and complimenting me... made me giggle  Also does anyone remember Melcala (I just butchered the spelling) from the original PT's Freeks and Geeks when they held it where Whirligig now sits? Well in 2000 he was no longer in the show but worked for security for the charecters and he approached me... he remembered me. Now that was funny. He was a sweety though. I left that day feeling very good about myself to say the least  It was one of the best trips up there because we were just laughing and screaming - laughing and screaming

Mine would have to be riding AE(Blue). It was my first major coaster(excluding Typhoon), and my first wooden coaster.

it must've sucked for you, since you don't live around here, but i actually enjoyed the power outage, it cleared out the park a bit.

I don't really have one particular moment that stands out that I can reflect on. But, I have a few small ones that always creep into my mind...

1. About 10 years ago, and the only time I've ever been on a coaster where "something happened", IW got stuck at the very top of the lift hill. I spent the 5 minutes it lasted enjoying the view. I recall a lot of girls freaking out in the row behind us.

2. 8 years ago I went with my now ex-girlfriend and some friends. It down-poured while in line for SW. We got soaked, but the rain lasted only about 20-minutes. She was wearing a white shirt that day. It was great. 8)

3. B:TR's very first season. My first time on it & waiting in line for about 3.5 hours. Back then it had the coolest theming ever. Going through the tunnel for the first time was awesome.

4. Just over a month ago, riding RB in Row 9 for the first time. Why I didn't try that sooner I have no idea. Well, actually I do. I could never talk the woman into riding the last row. It's probably the best ride I've ever had.
My Favorite SFGAm Coasters:
Raging Bull, Viper, Batman: The Ride, Iron Wolf

Earlier this year I was on AE:B and hit the blocks just before the last turn into the station and the whole train stopped. Everyone freaked out and I sorta did too because the next train was going up the hill. I thought if that one goes over we're done for...

The one on the hill stopped then after a few minutes ours got going again but that was definetly the scariest moment I've had at the park. I've been stuck on the hills of alot of the coasters there which isn't bad but this particular incident was alot worse.
