Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

31,000.
Does that number sound uncommon in a theme park on September with all the kids in school?
Not here. A special 'Buy One, Get One Free' deal for this last weekend before Fright Fest had spawned some talk which helped raise the park attendance in September to the highest in years, possibly an all-time high for the pre-Halloween month.
That's just my opinion. I don't know about the rest of you. What do you think?

The park was normally supposed to close at 7, but they plopped in an extra hour because of the high attendance. Some things just come to pass.

Today (Sunday) was mobbed as well.
3/4 of the backlot was full by 1 pm and people were still filing in.
Went to see the Nascar show in the Pictorium and left for Gurnee Mills.
With the new waterpark, this weekend being packed, and still to go with FF, this park should easily see over 3 million guests this year.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

oh my gosh... my friends and me had to wait for the train! that never happens!
We only hit 3 rides (KC, Train, RC) and gave up and left at 3.

Wasn't it possible to even get a lunch or dinner? I heard all the lines at the Farmers Market were backed up to the stage!!!
And the beer stands?! Don't even go there!

this weekend was the most crowded I've seen the park this season since RTS! it was nuts...I think a few people thought that HH was still open since it was so hot out.

I went to the park this past weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and it was crazy. Luckily I got on all the coasters, and Vu since I went there first, but the lines were ridiculous... HH looks cool. Batman's line was really long and annoying, but fastpass saved me on the Sunday.
