Indiana Beach July 15th - Rain rain go away

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Since it took so long to get there, we didn't arrive until about 12. We had to eat lunch first... and we only had 3 hours to ride stuff. So, my and my friend Iman went on Cornball Express first. Waited about 5 minutes for back row. Wow, major airtime. I LOVED this ride. Probably the best/one of the best woodies I've ridden. I definitely planned on going on it again later on... or at least, I hoped I would...

Then we went on Tig'rr Coaster. I was actually a little bit frightened to ride it since it had no seatbelts, but I didn't hesitate because I knew it was pretty safe. Hurt my arms, but it was really fun.

Then we went on the Falling Star... the ride was boring and slow at first, so I'm thinking this ride sucks. Then it got faster and it was really fun... I liked it. Next, we went on the Yamaha (I think that's what the swings are called). It was really fun, I liked swinging over the water.

Then, we went on the Sky Ride. When we were on it, all of a sudden a huge streak of lightning struck right by the lake. We were thinking this was a bad idea to ride this, lol. It started to drizzle. Then we went on Double Shot, and that's when it really started to pour. The ride was starting for a split second, and then they made us get off because of the lightning. That pissed me off because I really wanted to ride it.

So we were stuck in the rain for a while.. walking around. We decided to go on the Sea Dragon, which was fun. We went on the Falling Star again, and that's when the rain let up. We went on a ride right next to Falling Star, not sure what it was called but it was a Himalaya type ride. It was REALLY fun.

We decided to see if any coasters were opening up. We got in line for Hoosier Hurricane, and planned to go on Cornball Express afterwards. We didn't have much time left. We were a couple rides away from getting on Hoosier Hurricane when it started POURING like crazy. Then the severe lightning started up again... It wouldn't stop, and it was 2:45 and one of the counselors told me to get out of line. We had to leave at 3. I was not happy at all.

To top it off, I ended up slipping because there was so much water on the ground. I bruised two of my toes and my tailbone. I was embarrassed and that made me even more upset. I didn't get on all the rides I wanted to get on because of the severe thunderstorms. It was basically raining on and off. Also, Lost Coaster closed before the rain started which sucked... because we were about to go on it soon.

I hope I get to go back really really soon because I found the park to be really fun, and I didn't get to go on everything I wanted. I was also disappointed that Chaos was closed. I only got on 8 rides, but I guess that's pretty good for having less than 3 hours to ride things. I could have gotten on a lot more though because the lines were short.

Sorry that your first IB visit has to have severe weather. At least you got on Cornball Express. I guess you should try to go again sometime in the near future.

The Yamaha sign near the Water Swing's is one of the sponsers for the Ski Show, not the name of the ride.

Oh okay, thanks for correcting me. I really wasn't paying that much attention to some things that day. Yeah, I'm planning on having one of my parents drive me up there soon like within the next week or two.
