Haven't found a link so I am not putting this in the headlines.
Just saw on CBS 2 news that a 68 year old man was in about 3 feet of water in the wavepool when he collapsed. Lifeguards tried to revive him but were unsuccessful. They are saying it could be possible heart failure.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I;m interested to see how Six Flags will handle this. No reason to close the waterpark for coming days, but whether or not they will just because is a different story.
I just watched the report on CLTV. That has to be terrible for all the people that witnessed it as well as for the family who said that he has had heart attacks before.
Had to have been pretty scary to have witnessed it. It's good to know that atleast the lifeguards know what to do. But it's unfortunate they couldn't save his life.
Yes, its true. We got there at 4 something and the wave pool was closed. then they finally announced that they WERE NOT gonna open the Wavepool for the rest of the day, Wahoo RACERS are still closed along with Hurricane Mountain...
ALSO!!!! Six Flags SERIOUSLY needs to lower Hurricane Harbor CAPACITY from 7100 to something way lower....although after the accident the lines got short. Short wait for Toilet bowls, Body slides and Family Slides. THey let us go through the lazy river continuesly, even with the yellow tubes becuase NO ONE was waiting for a tube.
^ I do too...that's just sad...I didn't even watch the news last night...I don't think it's reason enough to close down the park for a few days because from what I can make of it, I don't think even if the waves were running, if he was in only 3 feet of water that could've had much to do with what happened. As far as I know, we don't know anything about his medical history. He could've had a heart problem....if someone said that already, sorry...I must've missed it. My deepest sympathy to the family.
